two ideas I thought would be cool

..Howdy,

 

Have two requests, and was wondering if anyone else had already thought of this. maybe it couldnt be done??

And that would be, that when lightsabers weren't lit or active, instead of just running around with it in your hand(s), it would go to your hip like it was hanging from your belt. Of course that would be weird and maybe not a good idea for double sabers, perhaps it might work for single sabers...and if you had two they would go to either side? i dont know, just a thought. And I dont even know what they would entail,..what modding category that would fall under. modeling?

 

The other is,...just look at the trailor for The Old Republic. I know this would be a reskinning,.."The Old Republic Hero Armor" is the title that first came to mind. The main jedi dudes armor in that trailor. which i guess would be similar to Effixian's JalShey/Zeison Sha reskins,..armor plating with a brownish-beige robe over the top. Like his ElectroMesh armor reskin, (which I love by the way) Somebody must have thought of that one already,..right?? Isw someone already working on this or has it already been done??

I think someone made an armoured robe mod. Look in TUCE.

If you ask for my 'expert' opinion (lol, expert), it would most likely require animation editing. If I knew how to do it, I think I'd have an idea of 'what' exactly needed to be done... maybe I should read up on tutorials.

I hardly consider myself an expert. To the first question it is theoretically possible, I even have an idea of how to do this. The problem I foresee is that it might hang at the hip while active.

Hmm.. are you thinking of having two hides for the jedi characters? One hide with a textured-in saber at the hip, and then the normal one. The appearance could be switched according to heartbeat...

 

The problem I see here is with unique hilts.

...you guys rule. i realize now just how hard this s*** is, as ive been playing with KT for a straight week for the first time ever, and questions abound, but ill go somewhere else for those.

Definitely grab that armored robes mod if you can because it's friggin' awesome. Also if you're interested heres j7's take on the armored robe from TOR which will be included in a mod I just uploaded last night.
