acdcfanbill
via slashdot - Jack Horkheimer passes away. Probably only people from the states know him, but he had a short astronomy clip on every night about what constallations/planets you could see. I saw him on PBS all the time and he had a great presence that made me interested in astronomy when I was a wee lad. Wrote his own epitaph too... "Keep Looking Up was my life's admonition, I can do little else in my present position." RIP Jack
IG-64
I never watched him... but that is a great epitaph. RIP
Boba Rhett
The man, as well as his amazing hair piece, will be sorely missed. I watched him every night when I was a wee fine lad. RIP Jack.
mimartin
Did not recognize the name at all, but once I read the epitaph, I knew exactly who he was. Then after watching a few old episodes it left no doubt, he certainly had a distinctive voice and a way of talking. You could hear the love of his chosen profession come out. RIP Mr. Horkeimer and thanks for making me look up with wonder.
Totenkopf
Yeah, the name got past me initially too, but your description reclarified it. Man certainly had a passion for his subject. RIP in the heavens you loved so dearly, Jack.
