bunjeeman Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Hey, I've got a question concerning the strength attribute; since there are two feats that cause you dexterity modifier to be used for melee attack bonus instead of strength, is strength of any use at all? I don't mean just leaving it at ten, but not putting any points to it at all in the start of the game (8 (-1 modifier)). Would that have any negative effects? Or would it mean nothing with the Finesse feats?
Hassat Hunter Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Well, strength would still definite a damage bonus. So at 8 that would mean -1 damage. Of course, that's kind a peanuts with how much you can update sabers or weapons. Also, there are a few STR checks in the game, but not many.
Obi-Wan Bologna Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Honestly I usually put almost all my points in strength, it helps out a ton in battle. I'd even put a few in it at start if your gonna go with a gunslinger, you'll eventually have to use a melee weapon somewhere.
mattig89ch Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 you know, I've never thought to go gunslinger with my main. a Jedi gun specialist....interesting idea. I always bring it up to 12 and never go up from there. But I always bring my wisdom up to 18, and my dex 14. so my force powers are very difficult to resist. I always go guardian.

Very fun, use all guns, have your companions do melee. You kind of get away with only using the lightsaber on boss fights. Pretty fun stuff.
Q Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 In TSL, strength helps a lot in the hand-to-hand situations you'll find yourself in. Too bad they didn't include a unarmed finesse feat, because I'd take it every time.
90SK Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 I always work on strength for my player and party members, I was able to train everyone but Bao-Dur in my last playthrough and they were all excellent saber weilders, especially Atton who managed Sion without too much trouble (may playthrough before that he didn't fare so well )
