Mod: Canon Meetra Surik Reskin for TSL

I believe this mod is compatible with Shem's Dark Side Transitions.

This is a reskin of the PFHC05 Head in TSL. It also includes a portrait to match the re-skinned head. Since TOR has been released, we now know that the exile was a woman named Meetra Surik whose physical description was short brown hair, pale white skin, and piercing blue eyes. While I think I have seen a reskin that tried to attempt this , neither of them really follow that description for some reason. I also think this gave the head a much more textured look, making my end result something I am content with. Download link will be below. I hope you guys like it, it's my first mod so just doing the eyes and skin took forever, haha. If anyone still plays this amazing game, I think this would be a great addition to your override folder. It is also the perfect thing to have for a canon runthrough.

CANONICAL FACE RETEXTURE (1.0) BY - JRTG

INSTALLATION: Extract the .tga files to your override, done

UNINSTALLATION: Remove the .tga files included in the download from your override.

Common Problem: I DON'T HAVE AN OVERRIDE!

Solution: Create a file in your main TSL directory called 'Override'

Q: What did you change?

A: I Gave the PHFC05 head paler skin, 'piercing' blue eyes, and brown hair.

This was done to match the canonical description of Meetra Surik and really

give you kotor lovers that canon feel to the game, and maybe even give you a

reason to boot up TSL again. This will also come with a re-skinned portrait to

match the re-skinned head.

Q: Wasn't this done already?

A: You could say that. The person who created the other version of the canon face did

not pale the skin or give her piercing blue eyes. He just changed the hair to brown... Their version pretty much did nothing but change a head's hair color.

Q: Will you update this head?

A: If people ask me to, then possibly. I'm not the best modder out their, haha.. It took

me a while just to do the eyes and pale the skin.

PERMISSIONS: I DO give you permission to edit this skin, BUT YOU MUST GIVE ME CREDIT!

ENJOY!

I love it how your first post is a release!

The reskin looks nice but I would add a picture of meetra surik I have no clue who she is and if the reskin even looks like her. (Ok I know she's from TOR but other then that :p)

Like Vindikorr said, Meetra Surik is the canonical exile in Star Wars Lore.

Here is her Wikipage if you care.

I like this mod - specifically how it addresses more aspects of the canon Exile's appearance than just the hair, as with the previous similar mod on filefront.

I have a question though: Do you think you could add more gradients to the background of the portrait picture in the style of the original portraits (Or perhaps use the original po_phfc05 background)? All the other portraits have more color gradation in their backgrounds, but your one seems to be a solid blue.

Some pictures for reference:

picture.php?albumid=271&pictureid=9526picture.php?albumid=271&pictureid=9527picture.php?albumid=271&pictureid=9528

picture.php?albumid=271&pictureid=9529

Also, should you decide to do this, do you think you could export a higher quality version of your portrait? As you can see from the picture, it's a little blurry compared to the others.

These are small nitpicks to an otherwise great mod, IMO. I'll be using it in my next playthrough. :thmbup1:

Sorry I haven't kept updated with you guys. To the post above, I do know what you mean, and I didn't notice how bad it was until now. I'm not exactly sure what happened for that blur to be their, but I can't seem to fix it? If anyone has skin experience, feel free to help!

Thanks everyone for the positive comments. ;)
