My reason is because when Kyle became a Jedi Knight he turned into a wimp...actually, so did Luke. Mercenary is more my style....anyone want a definition...here it is.....working merely for money or other reward, hired.....or a hired soldier in foreign service. Kyle was definatly that last one.....he was working for the empire, but was hired by the rebellion (the foreign service.
