WedgeAntilles
I say Yoda, simply for his briliance and patience. The empire would not be the same wothout him.

Zygomaticus
i agree with YD and masta a definition of saga is "A saga is a detailed story about the history and events of a person or a family" and this saga is basically about the life of anakin/vader and the skywalker family and besides anakin is probably the only one to make an appearance in all 6 movies- as vader too

Influenza
*Drools over Rhett's picture* I'm going with Wedge on this one. Without Yoda, hundreds of Jedi would never had their training, and thus the Empire would have accomplished its goal of wiping out the Jedi much easier. Luke would never had completed his training, except perhaps as a Dark Jedi. Say, Wedge... you wouldn't happen to be the same WedgeAntilles that founded Star Wars: TA? Havoc Stryphe
It was Qui-Gon Jinn of course!!! Without Qui-gon, the Star Wars universe would be totally different Without him, Anakin would have never been found, nor trained and therefore would never have brought balance to the Force. After all it Was Qui-gon who convinced the Queen to stop at Tantooine. Qui-gon made sure to free Anakin even though Obiwan beleived they had picked up another "pathetic" life form. It was Qui-gon who took the Midi count. It was Qui-gon who brought Anakin before the council. And it was Qui-gon who made Obiwan swear to train Anakin. Padme would be dead. - No Anakin to blow up Droid control ship and end the battle of Naboo There would have been no Luke or Leia. - No Anakin to marry Padme, and No padme see above. Obiwan would have never learned to stand for his beliefs. - No Master Qui-gon's defient personality or the making of Obiwan to train the boy. I agree, the whole Star Wars saga reveolves around Anakin and his fullfillment of the prophecy. However, Anakin would never have become the center of the films had Qui-gon never did what he did. For this thread's purposes, Qui-gon certainly served the most perpose. That being finding the Chosen one and bringing him to the point where he could fullfill the prophecy, and giving his life to do so.
Influenza
Ah, but you see, without Yoda, Qui-Gon would not have been a Jedi. And even if he were, many of the Masters on the Jedi Council were trained by Yoda, and thus may not have become Jedi. Therefore we'd have a different Jedi Council, perhaps one that elected not to send Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan to Naboo?

Yes, yes... by that logic it's actually Yoda's Parents who bore the weight of the entire future galaxy on their shoulders as to when they would concieve our would be lovable green muppet, eh? It's always Yoda this and Yoda that, bah!
