WedgeAntilles Posted January 5, 2002 Posted January 5, 2002 I say Yoda, simply for his briliance and patience. The empire would not be the same wothout him.
Boba Rhett Posted January 5, 2002 Posted January 5, 2002 Padmé Amidala. Simply because of this picture.
Young David Posted January 5, 2002 Posted January 5, 2002 Anakin Skywalker ... He who brought balance to the Force (and made sure SW wasn't boring)
JEDI_MASTA Posted January 5, 2002 Posted January 5, 2002 im with YD the whole story is basically about anikin/vader
Tie Guy Posted January 5, 2002 Posted January 5, 2002 Luke because......... Saved Leia from death Blew up death star Killed an ATAT on foot Restored the jedi knights Defeated the Emporer and turned Vader Started the Jedi Acedemy He and his students mainly responsible for holding off the Vong And many, many other small heoric acts seen in the books.
Zygomaticus Posted January 5, 2002 Posted January 5, 2002 i agree with YD and masta a definition of saga is "A saga is a detailed story about the history and events of a person or a family" and this saga is basically about the life of anakin/vader and the skywalker family and besides anakin is probably the only one to make an appearance in all 6 movies- as vader too
DashRendar Posted January 5, 2002 Posted January 5, 2002 Ok... well I'm with TIE Guy on this one without Luke all hope would of a better Galaxy would be lost
Artoo Posted January 5, 2002 Posted January 5, 2002 Are you kidding! It was R2-D2! He saved Luke n crew numerous times throughout the movies and books.
Influenza Posted January 5, 2002 Posted January 5, 2002 *Drools over Rhett's picture* I'm going with Wedge on this one. Without Yoda, hundreds of Jedi would never had their training, and thus the Empire would have accomplished its goal of wiping out the Jedi much easier. Luke would never had completed his training, except perhaps as a Dark Jedi. Say, Wedge... you wouldn't happen to be the same WedgeAntilles that founded Star Wars: TA?
Compa_Mighty Posted January 6, 2002 Posted January 6, 2002 I'm with YD, kkrode and Masta in this. The whole enchilada is about Anakin a.k.a Vader
Link Antilles Posted January 6, 2002 Posted January 6, 2002 I like the picture Rhett, but I'll have the say Anakin. (or someone from Corellia.)
Guest SlashAndBurn Posted January 6, 2002 Posted January 6, 2002 Anakin...all the movies revolve arround his rise, fall and redemtion.
Guest BountyHunter Posted January 6, 2002 Posted January 6, 2002 Obi Won...no doubt. When he sacrifices himself in Chapter 4 and becomes more powerful than Darth could ever imagine...he meant it.
GB_StormTrooper Posted January 6, 2002 Posted January 6, 2002 I agree with Tie Guy and Dash, Luke has done so many things that prevented the SW Universe from being taken over by the Galactic Alliance.
Natopo Posted January 7, 2002 Posted January 7, 2002 Guess. J/K. Nute Gunray. What's episode 1 without the foes?

Boba Rhett Posted January 7, 2002 Posted January 7, 2002 I banned him because he posted obscene material several times in the post your pic thread. You can read more about it here: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=29876&pagenumber=4 and http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=29876&pagenumber=5
Natopo Posted January 7, 2002 Posted January 7, 2002 So is he permanently banned or just temporarily?
Havoc Stryphe Posted January 7, 2002 Posted January 7, 2002 It was Qui-Gon Jinn of course!!! Without Qui-gon, the Star Wars universe would be totally different Without him, Anakin would have never been found, nor trained and therefore would never have brought balance to the Force. After all it Was Qui-gon who convinced the Queen to stop at Tantooine. Qui-gon made sure to free Anakin even though Obiwan beleived they had picked up another "pathetic" life form. It was Qui-gon who took the Midi count. It was Qui-gon who brought Anakin before the council. And it was Qui-gon who made Obiwan swear to train Anakin. Padme would be dead. - No Anakin to blow up Droid control ship and end the battle of Naboo There would have been no Luke or Leia. - No Anakin to marry Padme, and No padme see above. Obiwan would have never learned to stand for his beliefs. - No Master Qui-gon's defient personality or the making of Obiwan to train the boy. I agree, the whole Star Wars saga reveolves around Anakin and his fullfillment of the prophecy. However, Anakin would never have become the center of the films had Qui-gon never did what he did. For this thread's purposes, Qui-gon certainly served the most perpose. That being finding the Chosen one and bringing him to the point where he could fullfill the prophecy, and giving his life to do so.
Influenza Posted January 7, 2002 Posted January 7, 2002 Ah, but you see, without Yoda, Qui-Gon would not have been a Jedi. And even if he were, many of the Masters on the Jedi Council were trained by Yoda, and thus may not have become Jedi. Therefore we'd have a different Jedi Council, perhaps one that elected not to send Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan to Naboo?

Yes, yes... by that logic it's actually Yoda's Parents who bore the weight of the entire future galaxy on their shoulders as to when they would concieve our would be lovable green muppet, eh? It's always Yoda this and Yoda that, bah!
