Is it just me?

Is it just me (or my connection), or have the forum pages been unbearably slow the last day or two? I'm on a really fast connection (T1, 100 Mb), yet it seems like it takes forever to load up a page of a dozen or so threads. Is anyone else having this problem?

yes, i'm cursing out my isp (at&t, their commercials are a bunch of f'd up lies from the deepest pit of HELL!!!!!!!!!!!) because of it.

yes, last night, i noticed an extreme slowdown. it was right between 11pm and 12am EST when i noticed it. i dont know when it sped back up, i went to bed. but now it seems to be working fine.

Same here. I noticed a extreme slowdown aroung 10:00 PST. And I have cable!

yeah, i have cable to, and IMO, web sites just shouldnt do stuff like that! if this problem persists, i will have serious complaints.

I suspect that you were trying to login when the server was backing up these forums (which have grown to over 300 megs!). I'm not positive which time zone we have the backup set to go off at 1 or 2 am every day...

No, this has pretty much been going on for about 36 hours now, for me... No other website is like it, so it does not appear to be a problem on my end (unless it's the browser, which is not beyond the realm of possibility, though it may be beyond the realm of my ability to change it...)

the advertisements have increased on the site but for me these forums move as fast as they ever did
