OnlyOneCanoli Posted January 27, 2002 Posted January 27, 2002 I read that SOF2 will have a lot less blood than the first one. How much less, I don't know.

Yeah, I've heard (It's pretty hard not to have heard! ) I hope they revoke the ban and see sense If they ban SOF2, they'll have a full-blown revolt by every FPS gamer on their hands
StephenG Posted January 27, 2002 Posted January 27, 2002 i'm not quite sure whats happening but i really hope the introduce the"R18+" rating. i refuse to miss out on other top games!
Wilhuf Posted January 27, 2002 Posted January 27, 2002 Really enjoy the multiplayer so far. Great tactical play. Rambos do not survive. Teamplayers win the day.
Darth Simpson Posted January 27, 2002 Posted January 27, 2002 I read that SOF2 will have a lot less blood than the first one. How much less, I don't know. Looks to me like it has a lot more gore than the first one. Don't know if you've seen the video with the damage zones or not? Appears to be pretty bloody violent... heh...heh...
Roger Posted January 28, 2002 Posted January 28, 2002 Man, I can't get passed those two machine guns through the minefield... (beach) Any clues?
TheJackal Posted January 28, 2002 Posted January 28, 2002 First thing you do is: after your commander yells go and cover fires. you jump into the first impact hole and grab the sniper rifle. then quickly crouch and zoom at the far left turret gunner. kill him. then run to the other side. of course without steping on any mines. If you need help, just ask me. I finished the game allready
Millions o' Monkeys Posted January 28, 2002 Posted January 28, 2002 you've finished the game and it hasnt even been released here...damn im missin out
TheJackal Posted January 28, 2002 Posted January 28, 2002 well. i finished it mostly because i dont have school till tomorow. i had about 4 days in a row without anything else to do. Sure i spent time with my girlfriend, but other then that... what do you expect I do? Start a new business and make a fortune? psh!
OnlyOneCanoli Posted January 28, 2002 Posted January 28, 2002 I went out and bought it today for $35. I played the first three missions, seems pretty cool so far. Simpson, I thought I read that in a preview (IGN?). I haven't been following the game at all really, so I could be wrong.
Millions o' Monkeys Posted January 28, 2002 Posted January 28, 2002 hehe, but the problem is school starts for me day of release so id have to wait till the weekend before i cna really enjoy it
OnlyOneCanoli Posted January 29, 2002 Posted January 29, 2002 I just played through the Omaha mission. Whoa.
Millions o' Monkeys Posted January 29, 2002 Posted January 29, 2002 aaargh stop teasing me. Only 1 day left YAY
Outlaw_Torn Posted February 17, 2002 Posted February 17, 2002 ThReAd ReViVaL Should I download the demo? Is it worth it??? Cause I'm kind of short on hard drive space...
Kx_Dra_Sycdan Posted February 18, 2002 Posted February 18, 2002 whats the console command to record in game movies?
OnlyOneCanoli Posted February 21, 2002 Posted February 21, 2002 Outlaw, go ahead and download it. At least get the single player version of it. And the graphics are very nice. It uses the Quake 3 engine.
txa1265 Posted February 21, 2002 Posted February 21, 2002 JP - what would be a good frame of reference for you? I find the graphics about the same (on average) as Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Somewhat better than Elite Force. Not too long ago (about 9 months) I got a GeForce2 card, and started playing SoF and Quake II. Both impressed me ... and then I played Elite Force and was no longer impressed Seriously, MoH:AA looks great - everything is well detailed - but still 'poly'd' in places. Things in these games are so good that you find yourself asking whether the leaves on the trees look good enough ... these games have breezes, rain, fog, clouds, and they all look great ... Mike
xwing guy Posted February 22, 2002 Posted February 22, 2002 Whats the SP demo mission about and is it very long?
txa1265 Posted February 26, 2002 Posted February 26, 2002 I think it is mission 3 level 2, but I'm not sure. It is a decent outdoor level - plenty of weapons and baddies to deal with. As for the length, I do agree ... I got stuck in a couple of places, but aside from that it was hard to believe how quickly I was done with it ... I still think it was worth the $40 I paid, I know I'll play it again. As for driving - you drive a tank. Personally i found those levels a mixed bag. It broke things up, but I found I wanted out ... I actually like in RtCW where you *accompany* the tank rather than drive it ... but that is just me - plus it is really cool to turn your turret and take out a building ... or a single soldier
