jedimindtrick
I remember seeing a screenshot of Kyle in mid-swing, and a stormtrooper with his arm severed from his body, in mid-air. Does anyone know if appendages are able to be cut off by a lightsaber? And what about blood?

No blood (probably a glimpse of it, but not a whole lot like SOF), no gore.
jedimindtrick
Hmm, I forgot about the T rating... Like Medal of Honor AA... Somewhat disappointing...
Kyth Tal'ex
There will be player modifactions made for blood, I am sure.
General Theros
Why should there be blood? It doesn't make a whole lot of sense? Lightsabers and blasters don't leave bloody sucking chest wounds or anything. They both cauterize the wound as they make them. Honestly, we have a generation of morbib, violent video gamers. It does not need blood to be good, nor realistic. General Theros
Rogue15
hmm u obviously haven't read tales of bounty hunters, ig-88s story...in the beginning when he goes renegade, he shoots someone's head and it is not pretty.
ryudom
ha i read that. and i'm pretty sure there will be dismemberment. i don't think blood is necessary though, i'd much perfer no blood anyway
Darth Lunatic
As long as it stays true to the movies. There is dismemberment. End of story.
Jedimaster74
I am pretty sure there will be dismembermant. I am also sure someone will make a MOD like they did with MOHAA that will give blood for all those out there that want blood.
Kurgan
For my response (and some others) please see the thread here: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=34014
txa1265
I know dismemberment has been discussed to shreds (pun intended!) ... but I have just been thinking about it again after playing through level 1 of MotS again (just finished JK again, the timing should be about right to finish just before I get JK2 ...). It is nice to hack through a level and see arms lying on the ground ... and flying in the air - as in that old 'Kyle 1st person' article from PC Gamer last November. dazilla
I believe dismemberment of minor limbs such as arms and legs has been confirmed, but I don't believe that anything past that, including no blood.

Angrysquirrel
I think dismemberment should happen whever someone gets a limb attacked with a lightsabre. In the original starwars, in the cantena scene the alien easily got his limb chopped off with the lightsabre. And in the phantom menace, they were able to burn a hole through a blast door with a lightsabre. It would make total sense. As for blood, I think that there should definitely be blood for weapons that cause explosions (like rocket launcher) but not for energy based weapons. Burn holes are more appropriate for energy based weapons
Agen
I never really agreed with star wars no blood at all rule thing but leats it has disemberment. Also i think they added little tiny pixels now and again as blood jsut to be nice Also jk was the first fps i enjoyed that had no blood so it proves that games cna be great even without blood! Kurgan
And let's not forget a game like Episode I: The Phantom Menace had even more dismemberment than JK/MotS and it was still rated "Teen"....
Agen
Yeh i always wondered at that, but i think LEC were depressed so they doen their best to make a blood-bath
SaberPro
I think LEC thinks that having M (mature like HL) rating for JO sounds like Episode 2 R rated...
Belgirion
I hope someone releases a gore mod for non-energy based weapons...lol I always laughed in M rated games whenever someone got blown into pieces with a rocket launcher!!! *rushes off to play TFC*
SaberPro
Definitely someone will come up with a Blood & Gore MOD... If your not satisfied with the mod...go play Soldier of Fortune
Belgirion
lol I like gore but I'm not gonna not play JO just because there's no gibbing
SaberPro
Don't you think JO + Blood&Gore = Weird SW game? Did JK1 had any blood? Even if it had, it's only like 24 pixels of red around the wound
OmegaRad
When you get hit with a SEARING hot laser beam, it doesnt cause you 2 bleed because the heat seals the cut vessels.. . Well thats whaat they want us to believe.. CYA
SaberPro
Oh..I was thinking of a saber-slash...remember Episode 1 where Maul got cut in half? A glimpse of blood was shown, but they didn't drip, nor turn into a geyser....
