Does anyone know if appendiges are able to be cut off by a lightsaber?

And what about blood?

Remember, Jedi Outcast has a T rating.

No blood (probably a glimpse of it, but not a whole lot like SOF), no gore.

Why should there be blood? It doesn't make a whole lot of sense? Lightsabers and blasters don't leave bloody sucking chest wounds or anything. They both cauterize the wound as they make them. :) Honestly, we have a generation of morbib, violent video gamers. It does not need blood to be good, nor realistic.

I know dismemberment has been discussed to shreds (pun intended!) ... but I have just been thinking about it again after playing through level 1 of MotS again (just finished JK again, the timing should be about right to finish just before I get JK2 ...). It is nice to hack through a level and see arms lying on the ground ... and flying in the air - as in that old 'Kyle 1st person' article from PC Gamer last November.

I think dismemberment should happen whever someone gets a limb attacked with a lightsabre. In the original starwars, in the cantena scene the alien easily got his limb chopped off with the lightsabre.

And in the phantom menace, they were able to burn a hole through a blast door with a lightsabre. It would make total sense.

As for blood, I think that there should definitely be blood for weapons that cause explosions (like rocket launcher) but not for energy based weapons. Burn holes are more appropriate for energy based weapons :D

I never really agreed with star wars no blood at all rule thing but leats it has disemberment. Also i think they added little tiny pixels now and again as blood jsut to be nice :D

Also jk was the first fps i enjoyed that had no blood so it proves that games cna be great even without blood!
