Menace2001 Posted March 23, 2002 Posted March 23, 2002 I was reading through the official JK2 sites character profiles, and while I was reading through Luke Skywalker’s character profile I noticed it says he destroyed the first death star and the emporer. But how could he destroy the emperor if Anakin was the one that killed the emperor? Also how come it says the jedi academy is in the abandoned Rebel base on Yavin 4 when General Dodana (I think that’s how you spell it) blew up this base before Vader reached it in swbg?
Zek Posted March 23, 2002 Posted March 23, 2002 Luke lied to the historians after he got out of the Death Star.
[CSF] Hawk Posted March 23, 2002 Posted March 23, 2002 He probably did it to protect his father and his identity, i mean who is going to trust the son Vader?
Menace2001 Posted March 23, 2002 Author Posted March 23, 2002 Thanks for the replies. but I'm still not sure. I mean I thought Luke would wanted people to know of what his father did? Oh well does any one know the answer to the other question about Yavin base?
Menace2001 Posted March 23, 2002 Author Posted March 23, 2002 I guess so. But its all EU so shouldn't it fit together?
B0MBER II Posted March 23, 2002 Posted March 23, 2002 buzz off this is a inter-clan arguement JRA HAWK VS JRA BOMBER VS JRA MENACE!
Rogue15 Posted March 23, 2002 Posted March 23, 2002 Yousa going to be pasted outlander!!!! perhaps they meant luke killed the clone emperor.........

Menace2001 Posted March 23, 2002 Author Posted March 23, 2002 Originally posted by Rogue15 Yousa going to be pasted outlander!!!! perhaps they meant luke killed the clone emperor......... hmm doesn't the emperor coming back as a clone kind of defeat anakin's purpose as being the chosen one?
Redwing Posted March 23, 2002 Posted March 23, 2002 Anakin brought him down. He may have come back as a clone, but he did almost nothing of consequence before being killed by Luke and Leia, who directed his Force storm on himself.
Silent_Thunder Posted March 23, 2002 Posted March 23, 2002 Re-read what it said... It basically said Luke was a pivitol point in the destruction of the Death Star, and the Emporeror. That's is NOT to say that he killed Palpitine. Indeed, that is not even to say that he blew up the Death Star--though ofcourse we do know that he did. It makes sense, it just wasn't worded clearly.
Denise Posted March 23, 2002 Posted March 23, 2002 Hawk, Bomber, keep it civil fellas. If you have to beat your heads against each other you can do it via email.

Thrawn Posted March 27, 2002 Posted March 27, 2002 Luke brought about the Emperor's death by saving Anakin and briging him back to the light side. If you want to get technical about it, the last, final, 100% end of Palpatine can be attributed to Han Solo, who shot the last clone of Palpatine in the back with his trusty blaster. As for the Rebel base, Dodonna blew up the command center and war room, not the entire base and surrounding grounds.
