From what I have heard, Jedi can go into their Temple and you will recieve a trickle of nova sorta like the AOC relics.

The Jedi that for sure will have to be in the game are,

Yoda (Has been seen)

Qui-Gon (Has been seen)

Ob-Wan Young/old (has been seen.)

Mara Jade (Has been confirmed.)

Darth Maul (Has been seen)

Luke Skywalker (Has to be in there)

Darth Vader (Has been seen)

Leia (As Jedi?)

And many more various characters straight from the movies!

:D

I've only seen the SE's once because I HAD to see the movies in the movie theater again. But I don't see any reason to buy videos I already have for some new scenes, many of which really don't add anything.

When I switch to DVD I'll buy them then, no sense in buying them twice;) Of course they have to come out for DVD first....

The Phantom Menace DVD looks pretty nice with all those extras, I may buy that when it comes out and just play it on my computer.

I dont think that the navy will have as much use in this game because of the aircrafts. Is there anything thing you could tell us about the navy that might change my opinion.

You should use the edit button instead of posting twice in a row.

and No there won't be any air harvesting units, at I have never heard of them.

I'm excited about naval units. If they're like other games with air and naval units, the naval units will be tougher and have a killer anti-air unit for the seas. Naval units will probably have a large firing range, powerful weapons, or large troop capacities to make them more appealing.

If you've played RA2 and AoK, you'd see why.

Am I right, Mr. Gaber?

just a quick question, Gary. (I don't know if its already been answered or not:D )

Do you plan to include stuff from the expansion of AoK(the conquereors) in SWGB? Stuff like unigue techs, and qued(how do you spell that?) farms, or other similar stuff?

Thanx for your time!

Is there going to be a way for each civ or at least 1 or 2 civs to create Jedi/Sith of a different species or gender?

Also, will there be any additional Jedi/Sith actions other than Convert?

And finally, will the ability to change your resolution in the finished version make up for the seeming "scratchiness" of the graphics in the trial version?

Thank you, Mr. Gaber, if you're out there!

I'm sure you get tons of e-mails and posts like this.

Hello!

As you all are probably now discovering, a demo of our game has gone live on the web. This was meant to provide an initial taste of the game, as well as giving a hint as to the depth of what is yet to come. Aside from conveying a feel for the single-player structure, we're excited that we were able to include multi-player to let you know how this area will work.

As a team, we are now in the last couple days of beta before entering the final Quality Assurance trials. Art is locked, features are locked, sound is locked and campaign levels are locked. Now we do a serious final look for any serious bugs and then a short time later, we GO GOLD! Which means, if everything goes smoothly, this puppy should be in stores sometime shortly before Thanksgiving.

The official word from Marketing on this: the final in-store date has not quite been set (despite some posted notices to the contrary), although we are on track for a pre-Thanksgiving November ship date. The final in-store date is effected by a variety of factors beyond the software itself, including manufacturing schedules, printed materials schedules, shipping schedules, etc. So while it's a bit pre-mature to announce an actual in-store date at this point, we do feel confident in saying at this point that we'll be in stores before Thanksgiving.

Now onto your questions:

Admiral Thrawn (9-11), here is the upgrade path for the Fighter class in the Galactic Empire civilization: TIE Fighter, TIE Interceptor, and finally. . .TIE Defender.

And for the other ranking Admiral, Admiral Odin (9-11), I am always ready for more questions. And glad to answer them as well.

Hey, midgetminnie (9-11), I'll answer the one that wasn't answered in the thread - 1) There will be reinforcement queing, and limited action queing (i.e. you can right click on a resource center to build it. The workers will build the center then start harvesting nearby materials that pertain to that center.)

Yes, TIE Guy (9-11), the X-wing is upgraded from the Z-95.

I can't comment on future products, Darth_Rommel (9-11), but we're always looking at ways to enhance our games and expansion packs are definitely one of those ways.

The Outrider is not planned to ship with this game, Dash4 (9-11). The ships in our game do not land, per se, but when they are on the ground, you can see their landing gear, and they are "landed".

Captain Fett (9-11), the terrorist attack saddens all of us, and my heart goes out to anyone who has lost someone connected with this terrible atrocity. It will not affect the release of the game, and certainly not the quality.

Emperor Palpatine is indeed a "toybox" unit - he is available in the scenario editor for placement, Hannibal (9-12).

Without giving away all of them, there is more than one special air unit in the game, Dash4 (9-12).

Sorry, Link Antilles (9-12), no B-wings are currently planned.

Those Droid ships from Episode I were huge, but are represented in the game. They are not the Air Transport for the Trade Federation though, Admiral Thrawn (9-13).

No moving portraits like in Starcraft, Thrawn (9-13). Didn't want any distractions from combat. :)

You won't be able to edit unit stats with this product, jigga (9-13), but you could conceivably recreate the entire map tour, and a lot more in the editor.

The Y-wing is armed with bombs, and it does have a limited splash damage effect, Crackercho (9-13).

Yes, die rebel scum (9-14), Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds will have the Emperor AND his Imperial Palace.

Sorry, Compa_Mighty (9-14), but Dash Rendar, the Outrider and Xizor are not planned for this product. However, the Imperial Palace is. The Cloud Terrain, as well as other terrains in the game are going through a constant revision process to make them look better. It is conceivable that this one has changed since that screenshot. There are Ewok buildings in the game. George Lucas is not in the game as a cheat. Gates are not taller than AT-AT's but AT-AT's can pass through them without nicking their paint. There will be a random map editor, like in AOK, only with enhanced capabilities for this game. We are very proud to be the first game LucasArts has ever shipped with a scenario editor.

Yes, General Nilaar (9-14), you can create Multi-player scenarios using all of the units in the game, including the "toy box" units.

Admiral Thrawn (9-15) did a good job of answering your Jedi question, dr_death (9-15). To add to the list, there is a new Jedi created just for this game and its Rebel storyline, named Echuu Shen-Jon. Also, Leia and Mara Jade are in the game, but not as Jedi.

Two things that might change your mind about the Navy, jigga (9-22) - submarines and underwater dwellings on the Gungan side. And air based harvesting units are not currently planned.

I don't want to give away too much here, crazy_dog (9-22), but the Trandoshans make an appearance. So do the Neimodians.

Yes, KansasNavy (9-23), you're right about the naval units. Killer Anti-Air destroyers.

We have licensed the Age of Kings: The Conquerors engine from Ensemble, which has all up to the date features from the game, including the ones you were asking about, Darth_Venage (9-24). We've even upped the rebuild Farm Queue to 42 farms to keep parity with the current patch.

Yes, darthfergie (9-29), the game will have music. It will be a medley of classic John Williams Star Wars battle music, the perfect accompaniment for hours of combat.

As for the thanks for the demo, you're welcome. I hope you guys enjoy it!

And, as always, thanks for your continued support.
