My view on the whole Boba Fett/Sarlac debate.

First of all yes, only movie material is cannon. There happy? Now that that has been cleared up...

According to the "cannon" the sarlac takes 1000 years to digest it's food. You will die from dehydration before you even develop a bad skin condition at that rate.

It just showed him falling into the pit. There is NO indication that it is his final fate. It kinda leaves it up to you.

Back to my first point. With such a weak stomach acid there is no WAY that it is going to do any signifigant damage to Fett's suit, armor, gun, or jetpack, before he gets the idea to just fly out of the beast the same way he came in only with guns blazing.

So it is really up to the imagination of the viewer at this point to decide if the Sarlac is the final resting place of Boba Fett.

However it is my opinion based on the information provided by the movie (official canon) that Fett could EASILY have survived. It's not even a stretch of the imagination. 1000 years is a LONG time.

no way...u think the most feared bounty hunter in the universe would be be chewed up by some silly add-on beak.....beaks dont have teeth...so he would of jus slipped down......

besides lucas is jus p***ed cus Fett is the most popular....he jus made a mistake by doing that whole sarlac thing...why do u think we get so much of jango in ep2?

FETT LIVES:fett: :fett: :fett: :fett: :fett: :fett: :fett: :fett: :fett: :fett:

I agree that the addition of the beak seems to seal Boba's fate. In the original, it wasn't too hard to imagine Fett simply flying out. Lucas obviously added the beak to end that speculation. And to use a phrase that's been said on this board many times, if it's not in the movies, it's not canon. Therefore, based on Lucas' addition of the beak, we should all assume Boba's dead.

It doesn't matter if he died - the important points are:

a) he gets knocked into the pit by someone who is half-blind and has their hands tied to their sides.

&

b) he screams like a girlie as he plumments in.

Pathetic. Borrowing Daddy's armour doesn't make you a mighty warrior.

Lucas said that as far as he's concerned, Fett's dead. That's why he added the beak in the RotJ:SE, to make people see that Fett was dead. He was chewed up by the bloody thing's beak.

He's dead!

I would like to see that in writting.

And Im sorry, but that beak was not chewing on people.

Lucas added the beak for the same reason he added anything in Star Wars. It looked neat.

As much as I love Star Wars, I have never seen a storyline so haphazardly thrown together...

Lucas htes the fact that no one liked the flamer luke and everyone loved boba fett even more he gos and kills Fett un ceremonuoisly in the rotj so he added a beak to shove it in every ones face
