tuv201
I really hope, that MI5 gomes out in year 2002.
Royal Fool
Might as well forget it. It's almost impossible that they'll announce it... Look! A three-headed monkey!
Lord_FinnSon
I hope they would move ahead while they are still winning(MI4 went back to the roots) and not make sequels until whole franchise is dead. This is the time to come up something totally fresh.
Remi
I'd like to see a Monkey Island 5, but I'm not hoping for one this year. I'd like to play something new, really, or another adventure sequel.
QueZTone
to be honest.. ive been in enough monkey trouble for a year or two. they can announce it next year at e3 or smth. but i go along with remi on this one, i want some new stuff (including indy and/or full throttle)

Lord_FinnSon
Well, if LEC DOES come up a great story for MI5, they could give us, Monkey Island fans the best present we could get while waiting for this sequel: patch update for both MI1 & 2(and numerous other purely DOS based adventure games like Sam & Max, Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, Fate of the Atlantis, etc.) that adds DirectX support. This would enable us to play these classics in Windows AND most of all, hear the sound! Maybe they could even do something more "radical" and publish a sort of Collector's Edition(all four in one packet) complete with brand new voiceovers(Dominic Armato and pals) recorded specifically for MI1 & 2 to bring them on par with the last two games. sheaday6
I've been saying this semi-often: Monkey Island 5 should be an online multiplayer game. Where you insult sword fight and stuff for money, and you can buy boats, etc.. c'mon you guys, its a good idea
Lord_FinnSon
Maybe not a pure online multiplayer game, but idea of adding RPG elements into Monkey Island world would be great. MI5 could have a SP storyline with Guybrush as protagonist, but in MP you choose whichever character you encountered during SP(or make a custom skin from their different body parts), EXCEPT Guybrush, Elaine and LeChuck(this would avoid numerous players running around using exactly same skins). Instead these characters were NPC's who tried to live their lives or had their own adventures to attend to, but you might run into them here and there. They are products of their own worlds, you know?
COJ
I seriously doubt it..its been like not even 2 years since Mi4, i wouldnt count on seeing Mi5, maybe next E3...still I would really love to have Mi5 soon has possible

jp-30
Maybe they could even do something more "radical" and publish a sort of Collector's Edition(all four in one packet) They already have this, in New Zealand at least (but no revoicing). http://store.gamezone.co.nz/product.x?1456383 Have the greatest adventures of your swashbuckling life! This Collector's Edition set contains all 4 games:
