Lord Fergie
It has an awsome story line, good cut senes though they could've changed some of the regular graphic senes to more of the high quality senes found all over in FFX.

Treacherous Mercenary
AOK boring? HA! Boring my ***. Each race had strategy and were different mind you! SW:GB, you have each race that are practically the same, so it didn't really matter what race you were.

I thought that in GB ther was a much bigger difference. They were both still boring though. Of course, i would argue that RA2, and not SC is the greatest rts to date. I consider AOK (at least TM games) to be more like SimCity with a twist than a true military warfare game.
Artoo
OK, about the diversity of races, I'm drawing the middle line with my own humble opinion. AoE & Expansions/Sequels - It is almost as diversified as it needs to be. There is still the basic infantry/archer unit and such, but there are some unique units/technologies. They're humans for crying out loud. They aren't going to be totally different. Starcraft & Expansion - Very good diversification. Each race played totally differently. Almost to the point of not being able to switch between races easily. As good a diversification as any RTS should be. Warcraft III - Very good diversification. Each race is totally different, but still easy to switch between. You should all just bow down and accept it's soon domination of the RTS world as we know it. But all that's just MHO. Too get this thread back on topic, Warcraft III is littered with Easter Eggs. I mean they are everywhere. When you click on units several times you got lots of funny quotes, just as an example I'll list the necromancers. In the spoiler for all who do not want to be spoiled. "Everyman Lives. Not everyman truly dies." "I love the dead, frequently." "I see undead people." ""You smell something? Oh, I'ts just the troops." "Right-click for hot, undead, action." (referring to the raise skeleton command that is issued with a right-click. Notice the 2 parodies of movie quotes. There are things like that everywhere in this game. And that is only one unit! There are even some Star Wars references and yes, someone does say, " THIS IS MY BOOMSTICK! " What other information do you need? This thread should be enough to convince you to buy the game! So do so. NOW!

Clefo
I bought this game recently, and I must say to the Philistines who denounce this game: Go soak your head! You wouldn't know good game if it walked up to you and said "I am a good game! I am a good game!" Thats how good it is
Breton
It's a great game! Here are some stuff people say: Acolyte: My life for Aiur!....i mean...Narzul! All I see is darkness...oh my hood is down Dwarfen Mortar team: Mooorrrtaaaarr cooommbaaaattt. Dwarfen gryphon rider: Judge me by my size, do you? And much more! Paragon_Leon
I LOVED Warcraft 2...but i could care less about 3. Why ? Because of the low amount of fighting units. Come on, people ! Attacks may look spectacular, but they are also infinitely more frustrating. Whatever happened to good old-fashioned rts-wars ?

Sure, it will remain supreme until AoM comes out, then when C&C Generals comes out, Warcraft III will be a distant painful memory. Weswood is the King of RTS, and it's games are usually the community standard. I look forward to AoM, Stronghold Crusader, and C&C Generals.
