JaseP
Who here said that they felt like Yoda at 26??? You're no Yoda man!!! I know much older Star Wars fans. I was about 9 when ANH came out first run,... making me,... do the math now,... 34. I saw it first run like 4 times... It was the most incredible thing I had ever seen when you saw that huge Star Destroyer fly across the screen in the open shots,... Now of course, it's old hat. But ANH upped the anty for all Sci Fi/Fantasy films to come. And when it was first released, it wasn't released as A New Hope, it was released as just Star Wars. They didn't know that it would catch onto an audience enough for there to be sequels,... That changed BIG-TIME after opening day!!! Time Magazine released a 6 page spread on the movie and I remember it was like the first magazine article I had read in its entirety. The word of mouth alone was enough to make people want to go see it. It runs at a snails pace now, but it was like a roller-coaster ride back then. Nothing like it had ever been produced. Jaws was the next biggest thing. I remember those days,... long hair, big collars,... disco (yechhh!!!), camaros. People ran out to see "Corvette Summer" then next year with Mark Hammil and Annie Potts before they realized that Mark couldn't act...

Aoshi
Faye, unfortunately I made a 2.4 my Freshman year, however, it was still the greatest year of my life. I met my girlfriend that i've been dating for eight months, got laid constantly and consistantly, hit up the fraternities for all they were worth (sororities too), and got so wasted i completely blacked out on many an occasion (almost got hit by a bus too). All in all i would do it all over again... well maybe not get drunk as much as i did... but other than that. p.s. i noticed alot of you are soon to enter college so i have a bit of advice: getting drunk 6 days a week is NOT a good idea. Also, DO NOT DRINK BEFORE EXAMS. You'd think that university students would be smart enough to know these things... believe me they're not p.p.s. get used to natty light and the beast cause those 2 will be your main beverages from here on out Dont worry if you mess up your freshman year.. you'll learn all the tricks of the trade soon enough. atinymonkey
25, with a disposable income (I can buy anything I want, and I do). I can go out drinking whenever I feel like, everbody knows me. All my pals have money to spend, so we can do whatever we like. I'm not married, so it's free game out there. Girls hunt ME in clubs, as I'm the right age, have money, good clothes and the right hair. We don't even need to try any more! Shame about the GF. I get bored, I take time off work and go to France to stay with the guys who moved out there. We go surfing and drinking. Better than being 15 again!!
