Jason_tom99
Am I the only one who has seen the light? The time has come for Lucasarts to jump on the ball. It has been god knows how many years since the first X-Wing game was released and I think we are way overdue for a new version that meets todays standards. Things like massive multiplayer online would help. Nomore of this "Pick a mission for everyone to join on one side then try and overpower the computer." What we need is something that resembles the fantastic books of the New Jedi Order where we can go in and put in a little whup azz as a member of the New Rebulic. Things where you have preprogrammed moves foryour fighter where you could just suddenly move to a particular side: no more of this rotating the craft to try and move in that particular direction. Am I the only one who feels this way? The call has gone out. We have waited long enough.
greedo626
woah. I never thought of MP tie fighter and x-wing. that would be so cool. heh heh. 12 x-wings against 12 TIE Defenders. I know who'd win. Go Empire!
Jason_tom99
What i really wanna be able to do is my micro-hyperspace jumps. I have been reading about this in the latest books and i think it would be cool to be in the middle of a fire fight and all of the sudden have 15 more X-Wings just jump in from no where. One word : SWEET!
greedo626
ooo, I just go an idea of how the games would work. each side would have a capital star ship as their base, when you die you respawn inside the ships hanger. the object of the game is to destroy the other sides capital ship (so no more fighters can be respawned). you would have a ranking so as you move up in rank more ship are avalible to you (you start with a TIE fighter and an X-Wing). What's taking Lucasarts so long to make this??? are they writing this all down?
Jason_tom99
I think it would be cool to actually be able to alnd inside of the Capital Ship. Wait, what am i talking about, every capital ship is a Star Destroyer now! I think theyneed to ditch the X vs Tie idea and move onto a new field like the current battle with the Vong. I wanna be able to do loops and other stuff at high speed none of this low speed crap where i can barely get past eh S.D. when i'm moving at 600k and its moving at 4k! I wanna be able to do sll the cool things inthe series like the shadow bomb(Thats a proton torpedo moved at near the speed of light my the force and then detonated on impact). God, what is taking them so long.

ToppDog
I want to see a game with FPS & flight sim engines melded together. Imagine fighting your way through an Imperial Base with your lightsaber, stealing a Tie Bomber from one of the hanger bays & bombing the crap out of the place before flying off to your ship. All in real time with no cheezy animation cutscenes. Imagine the kind of missions you could create in MP with something like this.
XERXES
i remember Tie Fighter...OMFG that game kicked ass. I didnt like X-Wing as much though, but yeah a multi player version of those games would be insanely awesome...

acdcfanbill
well they couldnt use X-Wing vs TIE Fighter, as XvT is already in use... but a good idea... id be happy with any new Xwing game, one that runs on XP unlike XwA

BCanr2d2
They have basically done the last of the Original Trilogy games for the time being, with the new movies the focus at the moment. Do not expect an OT game until well after 2005......
atinymonkey
Ahhh. Take the Rouge Squadren from the Gamecube and Jedi Knight 2. Put them together to make the perfect game. Nice! The engine that project IGI and Hitman are based on is a converted flight sim (hence the vast arenas in IGI). The conversion back to flight sim would be possible. You could have the levels divided, flight on one and the next in a base/on a ship. Like the Mapvote on CS the next level could be decided by the points scored by each team. So, battle of Hoth if the empire win you go to a inside bunker battle and if the rebels win you go to a defend the transports in space. The more points you score would work like the cash system, so you would start with the basic craft and work up (Like greedo626 said). Start off as a stormtrooper/Tiefighter or soilder/x-wing and work your way to be AT-ST/Destroyer or landspeeder/Milllenium Falcon. Wonder if we could get some mod makers interested? Probably a bit of a tall order!
JandoFett1842
I liked Alliance a wile ago when all of the 3D modelers where still making new ships, like E-Wings, Scamerac Assult Bombers, and K-wing Assult Bombers. Now they dont exist so i nolonger play it, but MP RULED!!!!! Execpt for Chat, that sucked! Howbout LA makes Rogue Leader Special Edition for PC with a MP Serer and new MP maps! That would rock! : :xwing: :xwing:
