Can somebody play the guitar or another instrument?

Recommended Posts

I play guitar, bass, and can make somewhat musical sounds on keys, harmonica, and percussion if given enough time.

i've been playing guitar for almost 20 years now (Wow! Really? I should be much better by now! :( ) and I graduated with a degree from a music college.

I own 11 guitars, 2 basses, 7 amps, a piano, a couple of keyboards, some drum machine and synth equipment, a few assorted harmonicas and pieces of hand percussion.

edlib you were already on the process of killing me with all the guitars you own but now that you have revealed the number of amps you have I think you've just stabbed me in the heart and left me lifeless...

Yeah, but none of them are really nice. ;)

Actually, the Fender Prinston blackface my dad gave me is really sweet. And the MusicMan 212 (looks like a Twin) is really loud and cool, but the rest of them are small practice amps like Rolands and Peaveys. Nothing "lust-worthy" No Marshalls or Boogies I'm afraid. A small Ampeg bass practice amp and a tiny, old Supro are about the most exotic things in my collection. (Although Hendrix and Jimmy Page both used a Supro like this one in the studio... so I guess it's pretty cool too.)

I have a really old Marshall distortion pedal though... and a couple of Tube Screamers.

Actually, I might have to revise that number now that I think about it... one of the amps, a Peavey Rage, I loaned out to a friend YEARS ago, and I haven't seen it, or the friend for that matter, in many, many moons.

I should probably stop thinking about it as mine at this point. :joy:

So that's 6! Six amps! Ah hah hah hah ha!

Uh,.. the other 2 are a Roland Cube-40 and a Peavey Bass practice amp.

Happy B-day edlib!

Well, I have not as much guitars as you. I own 3 guitars: An Epihphone Sg400 Korina ( I love it), A Martin western guitar, and a really old acoustic guitar, which I mostly need when I'm by the scouts..... I have a peavy amp and a marshall effect machine... Thats not much, but my guitar teacher told me, that I'm really good for the time i play....

Thanks guys.

No, I didn't get a guitar this time... I barely have enough time to play all the ones I already have anyway. :(

Epiphones are nice. I used to have a couple of Epi acoustics. I also had at one time a Gibson SG. That's the only guitar I regret trading or selling.

My next guitar is likely to be a great acoustic. I have a couple, but none of them are as good as a Martin or a Taylor.

I'm also thinking of buying a Line 6 "Pod" unit for recording purposes at home.

I've never heard of Arrive Guitars... maybe this?

I don't know how much cheaper they are overall, but they are REALLY nice!

Personally I like Taylor Guitars the best. They're the only acoustics I've ever tried that play, respond and feel like an electric, but sound like a really good acoustic. I've played mostly electrics so that is important to me.

Most of them, unfortunately. :( Which is the only reason I don't have one at the moment.

I want the 512 CE model, which is up there in price.

The Baby-Taylors are cheaper though (all under $ 1,000 American) and they still sound and play great.
