(bought it from a friend as he upgraded to the 845E Max2-BLR)

AMD XP 2200 (with at huge silent storm to keep it cool)

Gainward GF4 4600 (bought that a month ago)

1024Gb kingston pc2700 DDR ram's

Soundblaster audiogalaxy Platinum PRO

2x 80GB Seagate barracuda 7200 RPM HD's

Jediknight running @ a smashing 170-190 FPS Max detail.

I thought about doing some case moddings (window, ligth and some custom grills + some round IDE cables to increase the airflow) what are your experiences with case mod's? do i need a dremmel ;)

That's a pretty nice box. Go with the round cables and replace the factory heat tape on your GF4 Card with silver or some other thermal compound. It's really amazing how much a little heat can slow down a video card....

Also, if you haven't purchased it yet, think about going for the SB Audigy Platiunum....It's worth every penny....

I personally run a:

ASUS P4T-E MB (overclocked)

Intel P4- 1.8Ghtz (overclocked to 2Ghtz)

ASUS GF3-8200V Video Card (overclocked)

512 MB PC-800 RAM (with coolers)

SB Audigy Platinum(Internal)

Sony 56x CD

Pioneer DVR-A04 DVD-R/RW

A coolerguys Windtunnel IV Case/Windowed

Also the case has 8 fans so it's a little loud but I'm gonna replace the 80mm's with slower models cuz I don't need that much air....

This is a gaming and video production machine only

As for your last question....YES, get a dremmel... They're always useful for something....

Anyway...

That is a nice box. I wish I had some extra money to invest into mine some more. But instead I bought a parrot, but he is really awesome. Anyway, you should get a nice craftsman dremmel if you do a lot of work with things like that. I love mine, use it almost everyday, especially at work. They are really inexpensive tools too.

Heh.. i would have picked the aluminium case.. but it would have cost me 70$ more.. i used them 70 bux on replacing the standard 350W powersupply with a 450 W .. (i need lots, 'n lots of fans if i'm gonna overclock this sucker) i think i'm gonna buy some yellow round cables to go with that, or should i just repaint the case black or something? it WOULD look very cool with a black case and chrome fan-grills.. aargh.. cant decide..

also i thought about watercooling, but isnt that very risky? one small leak and your rig is basicly toast?

My computer is quite powerful enough to sustain itself. Games run smoother than ever and that's always good... Mine's got enough power but I won't leave the specs chalk that to lazyness but it's slightly under what that ubercomputer would be but not by much. That's more power than you need but if your gonna get a new computer of course always buy the top of the line.
