I know a few ppl will say, that switzerland only have high mountains all over the counry, that we only can make chocolate, cheese, clocks and knife.... Post here what you really know about Switzerland and the Swiss... Was anybody in holidays in Switzerland??

Darklighter Posted July 8, 2002 Posted July 8, 2002 I've visited Switzerland the last two years of my life in summer. I went to Geneva, and visited the lake everyday. It was realy beautiful, and you could see across it to the Evian mountains. Thats where the water comes from, yep!

SuicidalXWing Posted July 9, 2002 Posted July 9, 2002 Actually Switzerland looks like it has some nice scenery, I basically only know what was mentioned at the beginning about it. Australia is a not too bad country from what I can tell. Its one of the few untouched countries/continents left, other than Africa. What I mean by that is that, there still is a ton of undeveloped land in it, which makes for a great tourist destination. But the few cities that are there, like Sydney, seem very much worth visiting. Despite the fact that almost every Australian I've come into contact with has a stick up their ass, I would still go there. Whaddya mean we're talking about Switzerland? There's some stuff up there about it, too.
Lynk Former Posted July 9, 2002 Posted July 9, 2002 The reason there is so much undeveloped land is that most of it is protected as natural reserves, plus a lot of it is Aboriginal land and the other part is just so far from anywhere no one wants to build... that's why most of Australia's population is on the coastline.

Ok, Switzerland is of course a country of high mountains, and cheez and clocks! But there are a few other things: Switzerland is one of the greatest exporters for weapons and technologies. Switzerland is also one of the cleanest countries... we have clean and good roads and cities and the food is one of the best quality... The law is very strength! The state have some firms. The post, the railway companies... We have nice cities: Zurich, Geneva, Lausanne, Bern (the capitol) and Winterhur. If you ever had the chance to visit them, DO IT!!!! :D And we have a long history! Our state, who is officially named " Die Schweizerische Eidgenossenschaft"was grounded in 1291. I think its the first state who was grounded. You see, it will be good to visit my country! but the only problem is: Switzerland is the richest country in the world, and that means that it is very very expensive. Example: a liter of milk coasts about 1$. that is much isnt it?:D and wraithy: Of course the gotthard sucks!!!:D it is one of the most discussed theme in Switzerland.... I went to near Geneva and rented out a chalet up in the mountains....I think it was called Les Paccotts near Chatel st Denis next to Vevey Lake next to Montreux. Lots of places there, but you might know where I'm talking about! :D

Switzerland is a little country, and we (my family) were in nearly every place in Switzerland. thats cause my parents wants that their childs should know the hole switzerland.... and ah, its a nice place where you were....
Darklighter Posted July 10, 2002 Posted July 10, 2002 I know, its the best holiday i've had in ages. I went hiking up in the forests next to where I stayed. I even went right up into the mountains but it was like August so there was no snow, so no skiing unfortunately:( Still, it was fun!
