That movie just sucked ass completely. Quite possible the biggest let down in Holiwood history. The people in that movie were absolute dumb asses. Think about it, how many times did they cross that stream? Hello!?!? follow the current of the stream and they might have eventually found a large body of water, usually near a large body of water is a town. They deserved to die. I saw it at the theater and one of the audience members through a large drink at the screen, and nobody even complained

My Fav scary movies are Event Horizon and the scariest one of all

........................................................................................................

....................................................................The Birdcage

somethin about Robin Williams playin a hardcore homosexual and Gene Hackman dressin in drag is just really scary to me. But i do enjoy all of the Nightmare on Elmstreet movies and Friday the 13th's (not including Jason X stupid @$$ movie).

Also anyone who thought The Blair Witch Project was scary has MAJOR PROBLEMS i've seen scarier pornos.

Peter Jacksons first films (he produced lord of the rings) are awesome splatter films!!! If watching brains getting eaten with a spoon out of a persons head, or somebody being forced to eat vomit tickles your fancy then you MUST check out these films: Bad Taste, Braindead and Meet the feebles. Probably should watch in that order.

Back to scary films, I much perfer chills down my spine and being awake at night to films which just give you frights. I liked House, but that is more of a comedy/horror. It has Norm from Cheers :)

P.Jackson also done The Frightners, which I really rate but I don't believe it done too well.

The Shinning

Freaked me out pretty bad. Lots of surprises and good use of light and music. Creepy as hell. The first time I worked at the facility I am at now, I felt just like Jack Nicholson because it is quiet here at night, and your mind almost makes you hear anything that you fear.007_SHINING_IT.jpg

****

A very scary movie about a large house haunted by a crippled boy. Stars George C. Scott, scary as hell. Great plot, good use of sound affects and old fashioned scare tactics. This movie was so scary that my mother came and got me out of bed when I was a child and made me watch this with her because she was getting too scared. Both of us had a hard time shutting out the lights that night.

I'll back up Darth Groovy on this one guys!

Halloween (The origional) definetely takes the cake for the scariest movie of all time. Dudeeeee! If u haven't seen this fil you better take a crap before you watch it cuz it will literally SCARE THE CRAP OUT OF YOU!

I'm not kiddn. The villain is the epitomy of everything we fear, (hehe, unless you count having jk2 disc getting lost.) He is atleast a 6' 5" MAN BEAST who wears a phantom of the opera mask. And the scariest part of the movie isthe end basically. It is at the end that a guy puts atleast 20 bullets in this guy and sends him reeling over a balcony. And then he gets up and walks away and the movie fades out to the sound of his breathing and soft footsteps walking down the neighborhood. This movie made me afraid to walk my neighborhood for atleast a year! Until I got facial hair hehe :ben:

Anyways, on Halloween check this movie out and you'll never go tick or treating again! I gaurantee it. Good posting by the way whoever started this.

Later, :guard:

I don't know why that one got to me so bad either. Normally I hate slasher movies. Freddie and Jason were all just silly too me. But this one really tore out my nerves for some reason. Madmartigan is right. Halloween, the original, it's just plain scary!

Of course I collect Scary Movies so I would like to plug another one of my favorites. I don't know if it is as scary as it is fun. I will say it is definitely a classic though! It was put together by two vetrans of horror, Stephan King, and Goerge Romero. Stephen King even has a staring role in this one, along with Ted Danson, Leslie Neilsen, and Adrian Barboa.
