Sam Posted August 23, 2002 Share Posted August 23, 2002 I didn't write this ts from here http://theoutlawstar1.homestead.com/outlaw.html It pretty much sums up the story Gene Starwind and Jim Hawking run their own "fix any problem" and bounty hunting busines, "Starwind & Hawking Enterprises" (hence the name of the site). They are taken on to help a stranger , a notorious outlaw, Hilda, or "Hot Ice Hilda". Gene and Jim are used to getting into trouble, but not Hilda's type of trouble. Cay pirates, Ktarl-ktarl, deadly assains, and fights in general, follow them where ever they go. Through Hilda they gain an advanced android, Melfina, who knows nothing of her past, only thing she knows is stuff about the ship that hilda also kindly bestowed upon them. Melfina, though she is an android has a wide range of emotions and feelings. She feels sad, lonely, she cant sleep, and she dreams. She is less like an android and more like a human. They meet a deadly assain named Suzuka when going to mooch some money from their "slightly" gay friend, Fred. This assain has never failed, until she met Gene. She would have kept her perfect record if Gene hadnt left her almost naked and disarmed. Since then she has followed the small band, she says, because they're interesting. Suzuka is a great hand-to-hand fighter and helps them handle the cay pirates. Later on they meet up with a Ktarl-ktarl, Aisha Clan-clan that lost her job because of them and Hilda. Aisha tags along because she has no job and she says they owe her, and they kinda do. Gene doesnt know what hes going to do next or where their going to go, but keeps hearing aobut the "galactic lailine". Is it a gate, or a treasure, or what? Gene has no idea yet with so many other people are trying to find it too, he still cant get a straight answer on what it is. so they run all over space searching for clues and hints as to what and where the galactic lailine is. Thats because anime isnt made like looney toons... Anime varies... You have childrens anime all the way up to adult intrest Anime called Hentai... Anime is basicly set around expanding apon human characteristics and making it seem vivid... Its like watching a detailed verstion of a cartoon but with more fights and less jokes... If you sit down and watch a teenager Anime show... You know what I mean by bloody!!! Body parts flying all over the place... flashing of female parts... its just... stuff that seems so real but cant happen... its captivating if you accually watch it... True there are shows out there like Slayers... based on human lucks but with Japanese jokes... littarly these jokes are funny in Japan but some people dont get them because thay dont know about the culter or the origans of anime... Yom Posted August 23, 2002 Share Posted August 23, 2002 i thought it was good when i saw it the first time around (some time last year on cartoon network were it would play at 5 pm). this is the some of the stuff the got me hooked to animme and now that I have seen better stuff(like cowboy bebop and piolt canniedit(if that is the right spelling) Gundams) i think that i have moved on to better things but i do say that out lawstar will be on my top 10 list of anime But i here there is a ep that u dont see on cartoon network were they all go to some hott springs and some stuff happens and all. well i hope some of you know what i mean and i hope tyrion dose not know what i mean cuz he is to young. I'm not sayin it was bad it just didn't catch my eye. And in the words of Kal DBZ OWNS and if anyone begs to differ sit down and actually watch the whole CELL SAGA and that will catch your attention. But I'm more of a GT/AF fan and for those of you who do not believe AF is real take my word for it it is. I have all the info right down to what kind of underoos they wear. They follow the same basic plotline. Ten whole episodes devoted to "powering up" before a big fight, the fight itself spans a couple more episodes, then more episodes of taunting and talking, then it starts all over again. I fail to see the inherent appeal in all that. Not to mention the animation quality is crap and the characters are so one-dimensional. I could go on and on, but why bother?
