BlackDove Posted January 10, 2003 Posted January 10, 2003 it'll have to be that way, cuz they already said thats how the skill tree's gonna work
Lord_Plo_Koon Posted January 13, 2003 Posted January 13, 2003 What profession do you want. I want to be a jedi but if I can't I will be a bounty hunter.
Gontheboy Posted January 13, 2003 Posted January 13, 2003 I am aiming to be a bounty hunter, but I might try other professions along the way.
Deft Aklin Posted January 13, 2003 Posted January 13, 2003 Like I said, Soldier/Squad Leader/Politician Go Empire!
BlackDove Posted January 13, 2003 Posted January 13, 2003 Is there a merge thread/close thread option somewhere? Creature Handler, but there are about 3 current active threads about this
Deft Aklin Posted January 13, 2003 Posted January 13, 2003 Do not fret, the dark side shows me the future and all is dark and cloudy, Wraith will take care of this, I have foreseen it.
BlackDove Posted January 13, 2003 Posted January 13, 2003 If I was a mod I'd take care of this on the double *cough*whatashamlessplug*cough*
Wraith 8 Posted January 13, 2003 Author Posted January 13, 2003 *consider this thread mreged with 25 proffesions*

Deft Aklin Posted January 13, 2003 Posted January 13, 2003 Originally posted by Wraith 8 hey... i dont sleep on the doorstep you know... i also have this tiny thing named: A life Come on now Wraith, you know mods aren't real people, you're not allowed to have a life.
MadMardigan Posted January 14, 2003 Posted January 14, 2003 Haven't seen it posted yet so I'll post... You can "Turn in" skills earned for a "Portion" of your experience back. Say you have maxed your 3.5 skills in Miner, Gunsmith, Droid Engineer, Architect. And you want to be a pilot. Just drop miner and you can start gaining exp to learn to be a pilot. You can continue to do this forever! ;-) Hence, no need for multiple characters! MadMardigan
Thew Rydur Posted January 14, 2003 Posted January 14, 2003 Well there are other uses, such as if you wanted to have different races/ genders. Of course this can be done on different servers. Having a multiple characters would also allow you to have the same friends with different characters. I think why alot of people wanted MCS is to have characters to hold items.
MadMardigan Posted January 14, 2003 Posted January 14, 2003 I'm hoping that there will be an unlimited amount of storage in the form of houses and guild halls to deal with that. Or even your store front if you are a merchant and would seem to need the most storage space. As far as one char per server I see the only real drawback as being just what you say, can't change race (playing a female once in a MMORPG is enough to satisfy my curiosity, I will never do that again). I think the only real big complainers about one char per sever are the power players and I for one don't mind them complaining or better yet not buying. That's my biggest complaint about EQ, they ruin the high end game for others if you ask me. Now if you have some high skill friends and some low skill friends that could be a problem.... but not a real big one. MadMardigan
