bianca
Hello. Recently relocated from my homeland Australia to the USA and just unpacked my Monkey Island games - I started playing Curse of Monkey Island today (for 2 hours) before realising that I had no idea how to save the game! I tried escape, F1, alt tab etc to no avail - I didnt bring any of the game guides with me could someone please let me know the magic trick to getting a save/load/quit when playing Curse of Monkey Island? I'm sure it's something really obvious...! Thanks and sorry for the dumb question -Bianca.
jannar85
Hmmm.... That's weird... I thought it was F1 in all the versions. Did you check the manual? Maybe it's something wrong with your hardware or something. If the manual says nothing about how to access the menu, then reply here again. Junior™
It should be either F1 or F5...one of them worked for SOMI and LCR and the other one for CMI...I'm not sure which one was which though.
Alien426
F5 for MI1 and MI2 F1 for CMI Sounds pretty self-confident, eh?
scabb
ESC will also take you to the main menu, where you can save, methinks.
bianca
Thanks everyone! It IS F1 - I figured that it was my error - I had a new keyboard that didnt come with my PC and I hadn't set it up right yet (at least I THINK that's what the issue was - I tried F1 repeatedly yesterday with the new keyboard and it didnt work - today with the old faithful its all systems go). Thanks again everyone for replying to my post and helping me out! -Bianca.

Remi
You're not a real man unless you play all the way through without saving.
Scummbuddy
Yea, cause you know how easy it is to die and then you would have to start all over again. MUhahahah
Alien426
It's not the saving, it's the loading. Of course you have to save. ...when Van Helgen freaks out after the banjo duel. ...when "A Pirate I Was Meant To Be" is sung. ...when Guybrush falls down the cliff at Blood Island. ...when else? In case you are too thick to get it: That was an invitation to keep this thread rolling with your favorite CMI scenes. Dumbass!
scabb
...I recommend you save whilst Guybrush is feathered up, so you can explore the town later as a devil chicken, if you like
