Ronin{TRIAD} Posted September 29, 2002 Posted September 29, 2002 Finally, after many problems, the Jawa model is finished. I aplogize for the delay in the release, and offer a great many thanks to the people who have helped me along the way, and all the people who have waited patiently. You can d/l it here: Jawa This link will be only be available until jediknightii.net gets the file uploaded.
SpYzEr Posted September 29, 2002 Posted September 29, 2002 Good model except: The saber stances are all messed up and the head looks tilted to the right
DarkLord_44 Posted September 29, 2002 Posted September 29, 2002 Nice job. I didn't seen any glitches or anything and the taunt and model are great quality
Enjoi9187 Posted September 29, 2002 Posted September 29, 2002 u need to fix the head, and make him hold the saber properly
Darth Loki Posted September 29, 2002 Posted September 29, 2002 Great work. Only problem is you have attached the weapons to the wrong bone, like the mandalorian models.
Ronin{TRIAD} Posted September 29, 2002 Author Posted September 29, 2002 Thanks for the heads up peeps. Which bones should the weapon be attached to?
Darth Loki Posted September 29, 2002 Posted September 29, 2002 sorry, I'm not a modeller. But does the model have wrist and hand bones? if it does, you may have attached it to the wrist instead of the hand.
Ronin{TRIAD} Posted September 29, 2002 Author Posted September 29, 2002 Are you sure your are not a modeller? Cause I re-weighted the tags for the weapons for the left hand to a different bone, and it fixed the saber. The new version has been uploaded to the same link above.
R2D202 Posted September 29, 2002 Posted September 29, 2002 Good work! All you need is to scale the little jawas, 1.2.3! HOOTEINI!!

I have been contemplating it for a while, and I finally gotten my brother to give me his old version of 3ds max (3.1 i think) and now I am comtemplating it even more. The reason I new the problem is I think sithlord-ii was having this problem (I think) and I thought that might help. And look, it did! now I can start playing as a Jawa. However, this brings up a point I have been considering asking, does the JK2 plugin for max work with 3.1?
Kururin Posted September 29, 2002 Posted September 29, 2002 There's nothing wrong; its perfect. Now we need an Ewok.
t3rr0r Posted September 29, 2002 Posted September 29, 2002 i haven't had a chance to try it yet, did you do a glowing shader for the eyes?
Eets Posted September 29, 2002 Posted September 29, 2002 Well, I'd add it right now if my frickin cable modem weren't running so dern slow today. Let me know if you're planning on doing anything to those glitches before it's released totally. And personally, I kinda like the tilted head
Ronin{TRIAD} Posted September 29, 2002 Author Posted September 29, 2002 I sent the fixed model to JediknightII.net last night for posting. So it is pretty much officially done. I left the tilted head in cause I think it gives it a little bit more character. As for the shader for the eyes. I tried getting it to work, but ever since the day Q3 came out, shaders and me have never gotten along very well for some reason =/ So it just has normal eyes. Sorry about that.

t3rr0r Posted September 29, 2002 Posted September 29, 2002 ok i've got glowing eyes for the default jawa working (haven't started on the other three skins), but i notice that there are some white lines on some of the skin... eets might want to fix those. also, you may want to take down the download until these issues are dealt with. oh, and also eets, you might want to add some dark shading on the hood where it goes from hood to black.
Andy867 Posted September 29, 2002 Posted September 29, 2002 Well, I have the Jawa Model posted right now, but when you fix the eyes, if Ronin wants to send me the new copy, I can overwrite the model with the new one, and make a note that this one has the glowing eye shaders. But I also made a note of it on JKII.Net at first I wanted to call it Invasion of Tattooine, but then I just called it Jawa Model Released!
t3rr0r Posted September 29, 2002 Posted September 29, 2002 maybe it's because i had to make the head textures .tga's and it's upsetting the seams of the skin... i'll figure it out.
keo718 Posted September 29, 2002 Posted September 29, 2002 Ronin, thank you for this model. Do you plan on making the Jawa weapon as well? It will be usable with upcoming mods....
Ronin{TRIAD} Posted September 29, 2002 Author Posted September 29, 2002 t3rr0r, when you get the eyes worked out let me know and send me the file. I'll make the proper changes to the text file accordingly, and send the new file Andy. keo718: I currently don't have any plans for weapons models for JKII. That may or may not change in the future though.
t3rr0r Posted September 29, 2002 Posted September 29, 2002 eets (whenever you show up), would it be all right if i tweaked the hues, brightness and contrast of the skins? cause i came up with some nice edits.
Ronin{TRIAD} Posted September 29, 2002 Author Posted September 29, 2002 Did eets add his skins to the pk3? or are you taking about the default, black, and team skins?
