Eldritch
Nope. And Psynex, i've sent an email by way of the button, but it goes thru Lucasforums - god knows if it will ever actually get to you.

Psynex
yea, I got the email Aru, and replied accordingly. Did you get my reply?
Eldritch
I did - the textures should be in your emailbox now. I've zipped them up, but the filepath for the textures in the shaderfile should be textures/great_hall Can't wait to see what you come up with. Thanks again, Psynex. Psynex
Aru, the textures weren't in the email you sent. I saw that you opened the map for public beta so I went looking for it that way, but now luck. What's the file size of the map? Maybe you could put up a link for it temporarily until I can download it? I'll have my ICQ on for a couple more hours if you need to contact me. Eldritch
It's been a while since new screenshots have been posted. My apologies to all who may have wanted to see new progress - I assure you, now that my part in Commenor is done, i'm back to work full time on Hogwarts. So, without further adieu, I present to you a few new screenies of the Dungeon! (please ignore the lighting and some of the texturing, as nothing is final yet obviously). Some of the screenshots were dark, so I lightened them up a bit afterwards in Photoshop. If parts of it appear too bright, attribute it to that. It looks fine in-game. wedge2211
I think the first shot is the most impressive. Nice door! And the light from the candle looks very good (not too bright compared with the rest of the wall). How big is that doorway? 96 units wide, i'm guessing? It might be a little small (but then again, if you have a repeater/flechette, clearing space is not an issue). What's that blue thing in the last picture? Secret passageway? Eldritch
Close guess, Wedge. The wooden door seen in the first shot is 88 units wide, but it's sized that way. It's the door to the dungeons, after all - you don't want some huge gaping door. The rest of the doorways in the dungeon are 112 units wide - spacious enough for 2 people to pass side by side. As for the rest of the Dungeon, it's got more open space overall than the Entrance Hall (not quite what you'd expect, is it?). This is partially because the dungeons contain the secret entrance to the Slytherin Common Room, which is next on my agenda BTW. And the blue lighting isn't a secret passageway - it's part of the lighting scheme of the dungeon. Blue flames produce blue light. In other news, i've almost finished with the Potions classroom, all that's left is some small details (like tables) and to finalize the lighting. 2 screenshots : This one is the doorway to classroom of Severus Snape, the Potions master. And this one is a view of the classroom itself. Let me know what you think of the window detailing.
Shadriss
I thought I was gonna push the edges of brush-usage in this engine, Aru... I stand corrected. Very good looking. Heck, this thing is almost more of an RPG map than mine is...

Eldritch
*blinks 3 times* I'd say this is some kind of tryout for a Doublemint Gum commercial, but there appears to be 3 of you... *wonders if there's a Tripletmint Gum* So far the Dungeon is over 1,100 brushes - though I've picked up a few tricks to cut down on my brush count since the Entrance Hall section. I should be able to retain a good amount of detail and keep the brush count from going thru the roof, but we'll see. Still have about 2/3 of the Dungeon section to go thru yet (including the Slytherin Common Room).
wedge2211
No matter how many of him there is, he's right. It looks freakin awesome. I love the twisty columns, and the vaulted cielings. The lighting is excellent, and te windows are great. Can't wait for the whole thing!!

Eldritch
The Dungeon is 90% finished. All that's left is to add some small details, finalize lighting, and make sure that the textures all match up. The brush count so far stands at 2500, and will most likely be around 3000 or so by the time it's done. Though it was not seen in the movie(s), I'm adding the room that Filch (the caretaker) talked about when he said, "Time was that detention would find you hanging by your thumbs in the dungeon. God I miss the screaming..." I'll also be adding in a few other extras like prison cells (it *is* a dungeon, after all) which should help to make this map playable as an RPG. Here's some new shots: A view of the Dungeon corridor, from end to end. Entrance to one of the rooms off of the corridor. The same room, from a different angle. The entrance to the Slytherin Common room is hidden somewhere in here... Detail of one of the large doorways in the main corridor.
wedge2211
ACK what'd you do to those shots in photoshop? The candle flares look all wierd. Great shots, though, excellent architecture and detailing as usual.
Eldritch
The screenshots the game takes are too dark. It looks fine to me in-game, but I have to lighten the screenshot in photoshop, causing the candle flares to look like mini-atom bombs exploding. I might have someone else take a look in-game to see if the lighting needs to be altered.
