Wow!! Well, last night signaled the crescendo of the experience that is Jedi Knight II. I faced Desann in the Academy. Tough bird until I did some research and found that, by using force speed, he was gravy. Too easy!!!

Now, can someone clarify for me the terms, "Blue stance" and "Red stance". What do those mean exactly? A n00b Jedi wants to know!!!!!

What a game! Can't wait to play it all over again. :)

Anywho. I thought I'd just share that with everyone. Please forgive the elation of a newbie. ;)

Blue stance = quick, slashing stance with backstab

yellow = medium, all around with medium backswing

red = heavy, slow, fierce swings with heavy backswing

lol, I too used the speed technique the ...err... 5th time I think. The best way to kill him is drop the pillars on him. :D

Have you tried the ladder level? It's a fun way to punish reborns and Desaan.

The 'Ladder Level'? Whazzat?

I take it I have a great deal to learn because my "Stance" is the "Magenta stance": slash/run/slash/trip/slash/bump head on overhead object/die. ;)

I wish I could watch someone in action, so I could understand what these techniques translate into in action!

Ya wanna talk about jump strafing in UT? I'm your guy. Need a tip on circle/whip around rocket jumping in Quake III? Talk to me. But, I have no clue how to even imagine these stances in JKII!! I just run and slash hoping not to end up looking down at my recently-severed head! :D

I have a feeling I'm only using the saber to 1/10 it's potential.

Q, -=Chi3f=-. What is the name of the Ladder map? I want to get there thru the "map <mapname>" command.

Oy Va! Looks like you made a recent trip to ugly ppl.com, unless that's your true face, in which case I'm sorry.

Bwa ha ha ha :dev7:

Right, the ladder is exec ladder or ladder I believe, but I think it only works in the SP version and not the MP.

@Boba Fife: Yes, ladder is sick! Wicked sick! I changed all the music too, to make it really cool.

My favorite QIII trick was to land a jump at an angle, rocket-catapult upward, and slug the closest victim. Brings a shameless tear to me eye. *sniff*

BTW, I'm ranked in the top 500 in QII (out of many). That's my crowning achievment, lol

So, you're the one who beat me out for spot #500! (kidding)

Man! I used to love QII back in the day. I was a fiend with the hyperblaster and rocket launcher.

How do I get the ladder level to load in my game? Truth be told, I'm still playin' the "vanilla" version of JKII: no patch, no D/L-ed skins, models or maps and I've never played it in MP on-line.

Download th eladder lever from here

No music = no music

music = bigger file, slower to dl, but cooler

Use the install instructions. I haven't played jkII in 3 months, lol

Yeah, that ladder level is sweet, Druid introduced me to it way back in the day. I especially love the slow motion, reminds me of bullet time!

TEH SLOW MOTION???? WTF?

You can get that with force speed or by using timescale 0.5

Remember, *I* were the one who introduced you to slowmo -cheat style! :D
