As far as I know, that is not true. If that would be the case then LF should notify you of that before you register. They should say something like 'If you don't log on for a year, your account will be deleted' As far as I know ... this is not the case. The 'Need a name chance?' post has the following line: 1.) Don't request the username of an active forum member. I think that active here needs to be replaced with registred.

PhantomHelix Posted November 21, 2002 Author Posted November 21, 2002 well, first of all, thats becuse it only shows pages from a few days bak. you can look at old posts in member search....and u can look at old threads if you change the option of what days it shows pages bak to, such as 100 days ago, or from the beginning. arent admins allowed to just delete people who dont come here?

Metallus Posted November 22, 2002 Posted November 22, 2002 Ok, let me clear this up. Spy_jmr1 was mistaken about our policy. A couple months ago, some users were pruned who had never posted and hadn't visted the forum in over 3 months since registration. That was the last member pruning that will happen for quite some time. Our policy about deleting inactive accounts so that a more active member can get their handle is a bit clouded, but it basically comes down to number of posts (usually 2 or fewer), in combination with being inactive for a year or more. Even then, there are circumstances where admins will say 'no'. This time, I can't change your name, PhantomHelix, because the situation gets much too complicated. There are two accounts (they were imported from separate forums when LucasForums first started) named Phantom, and they are the same person. In addition, both accounts are such that I'd feel uncomfortable deleting, since both have more than 2 posts. I'm sorry, but you'll have to stick with your current name, or pick a different one besides Phantom.
