what do YOU think is the reason for the ep.4,5,6 DVDs not being released ?

do u think there will be MORE enhancements ?

i do not think there will be extra scenes, but maybe background enhancements. for example i would like to see a couple of old episode 1 battle droids in the Jawa Sandcrawler in A New Hope. that sort of garbage would be WICKED. i recon.

oh yeah and make Greedo cop it sweet like he is supposed to. :D

From my understanding from a pretty reliable source, EPisode IV-VI are being held back until after the release, and from there, Lucas is going to add in yet a few more scenes to tie up loops in the storyline, and then release them strictly to DVD, unlike where he had them come back to the theater just to be released on VHS.

They should touch up on some small stuff, like the first time we see Jabba's barge in ESB, and we see that Weequay (i think) walk along it, it just looks fake (understandalbe considering it was made in the late 70's-early 80's). I hope they dont change anything in the Battle of Hoth, or add any CGI to it, the original scene just kicks a$$ and has this sort of tough, classic feeling to it that just gets you excited. IMHO, CGI would sorta degrade the impact of the scene.

Yeah I hope they don't change too much. They're the movies I've always loved. Maybe touch-ups, but nothing completely changed.

The only thing I think would be worth doing is adding Naboo to the planets that are partying at the end of ROTJ SE.

Oh! But we don't know what's gonna happen to the Naboo!

^ that's true

and gives me a thought

possible spoiler warning

what if they build the death star in ep III and use naboo to test it on. anakin thinks padme is on naboo at the time and dies when it blows (but she isn't). anakin goes psycho and goes after dooku (who he believes is behind it) and that is the final push to the dark-side. then obi-wan goes after anakin to stop him, but it's too late, anakin has killed dooku and has turned to the dark-side. they end up fighting, obi-wan kicks anakin's arse... vader is born

Two things I would change about the OT, concerning the Stormtroopers:

1) If the Stormtroopers are meant to still be Clones, any scenes that made it obvious that they were diferent heights should be retouched.

2) Again, if the Stormtroopers are supposed to be Clones of Jango Fett, they should have Temuera Morrison come in and redub their lines... certainly, Morrison should redub Boba Fett's lines from the OT.

That's about it, other than little touches to the special effects, like the death star's surface in ANH (looks like what it is... cannibalized battleship models glued to a pingpong table!)

My thoughts:

Lucas should release a super enhaced old trilogy (including a new score, using of course previous material), along with the untouched version of it (even AHN without 'ANH and 'Ep IV' things)

The scores of TMP and AOC should be redone too (too many cuts and loops)

Also every deleted footage that matches the movies should be included

ANH

Every ship and space scene made in CGI

Better Jabba the Hutt and Mos Eisley

Vader-Kenobi duel, redo a la Yoda-dooku (using a stunt and digitalizing its face), i mean adding scenes to see fron far (not close-ups).

Death Star plans ->same that the ones in AOC

Battle of Yavin: completely CGI (except when People is talking from inside the ships)

Imperial march, no full blown

ESB

Every ship and Space scene CGI

Battle of hoth: Adding snowtroopers and rebel soldiers. We could see the AT AT ans AT ST langing in ships like Force Commander

Emperor scene-> Adding emeror theme and Ian Mcmiarmird

CGI Yoda

ROJ:

Although the space scenes are very good, CGI would still be welcomed

CGI Jabba (at least the face)

CGI Yoda

CGI Ackbar (at least face)

wassup: Jabba's Barge is in ROJ, and the weequay was removed in the Special edition.

Well, if it wasn't for CGI, that scene with yoda fighting it out with Dooku wouldn't be able to exist, along with most of the Jedi, and scenes with Jango, the whole scene with the clones. So you can see where the whole idea of wanting to use CGI in the OT comes to play.

I think we will definitely see CGI put into the OT, it’s like what is said on the TPM dvd special features, movies are never finished, they are given up on. And now GL has an opportunity to make the improvements he has probably been thinking about ever since the SE of the OT was released. and the bottom line is George Lucas loves CGI, I think he would make the whole thing CGI if he was able to as he is a visual director (that’s why some of the dialogue can be cheesy at times :p ). I think he will put as much CGI into the OT dvds as he is able to in the time he has.

that may annoy a lot of fans, but would that stop him? unlikely

I wanna see an added scene to ep6. Boba blasting his way out of the sarlac after the transports leave. Theres an explosion, some blaster fire, and Boba flies out by a damaged jet pack and hits the sand hard. Hes covered in **** and hes bleeding all over, Temura Morrison should play him and take off his corroded helmet, give an angry look to the leaving speeders and pass out on the sand. No flames please. Just my idea. I know GL had him die.

And btw GL loves Flash Gordon. And he loves the way he directs. The corny stuff is his style and he like it that way. Cause thats similar to the Flash Gordon serials. So hes not a bad director. Hes one of the best. So if you dont like his style, too bad. I like it. :)

Redoing the entire movie would make it crap!

Ahem, didn't you read my point about releasing the UNTOUCHED VERSIONS alond with the ultimete editions? So everybody will be pleased.

And yes i love CGI when it is well done (like in the SW movies).
