Lord_Plo_Koon
I just got a used voodoo3 card from a friend. All I have is the card and the cd thing that came with it. The cd will not work so I can't instal the driver, but that doesn't seem to matter because my computer says its already instaled. so, I tryed to play jedi outcast and it sayed something like "couldn't open openGL". I went to the voodoo web site and downloaded a driver for windows XP and now jedi outcast will not even open. Did anyone else have this problem that might be able to help me out? PLEASE!!! Jo
you better plan on getting a new card on most the games after JO though, like spiderman, sof2, lotr:fotr, they dont work with voodoos.

Camus
Depends on what nvidia your getting and where your getting it from... so my responce is look around for a resonable priced nvidia APG card... mainly in the upper $100...

Pedantic
Look on Pricewatch. They have the cheapest prices from a bunch of places. But be careful who you buy from. Some vendors on there don't look quite as reputable as some of the bigger ones.
Lord_Plo_Koon
Thanks. I will try that. I like things that are cheap. I don't have a veary good job.
Pedantic
Heheh, I know what you mean. I used to have an 8500 and they give good performance for the price.
Treacherous Mercenary
Why don't you try http://www.googlegear.com and look at some video cards? I happen to be getting most of my hardware from there in Feb and you can't go wrong with free/relatively low shipping either. I'll be getting an ATI Radeon 9000 Pro 128MB DDR by Gigabyte there. Great for overclocking! But anyways, it was just a thought.
DiRtY $oUtH™
well, let me start by saying that ATi does not even come close to Nvidia....just bcuz they have the Radeon 9700 doesn't mean a thing...soon Nvidia is going to unleash their monster of a videocard and stomp ATi. Now, about the card you should get... go here and look what I found you....

As for FX, it may dominate Radeon 9700, but how long do you think it'll last... Huh?
