The_One89
Hi! Don't you just h8 it when people come into your server and chickens with the red saber style?! At least i do. Why can't they fight like real men? Yellow or blue styles are ok because it's close combat. And if they really use the blue and yellow style, they only use one cowardly attack! It ain't fun to play with those cind of chickens! Anyone that plays like this please respond and tell my why they are so cowardly, and people that doesn't can say what they think about the cowards. //The One
Agen
Well, i always found red whores easy to beat with yellow. In promod it's different though, use with red otherwise you're useless really .
lukeskywalker1
i dont like the red style either. its too slow and its hard to hit people with it.
Luc Solar
Could someone clarify what exactly is "cowardly" in red style? "Three swings & rolling away, ad infinitum?" You want people only to play with yellow style or with blue but without using the lunge? I bet the yellow finisher is also forbidden 'cause it does way too much damage? How about combos? Those might really take your hp down...
lukeskywalker1
i think yellow is the best, it looks best when fighting and its not to slow and its not weak.
Hyperglide
I use all 3. They all have their advantages and disadvantages. Red is good for fighting another solo lightsabre opponent. Yellow is good for multiple lightsabre opponents. Blue is best for a frenzied mixture of gunners and lightsabre opponents. It's like rock paper scissors as well. All can be defeated and defeat another particular color. If you don't use all 3 colors you're a moron..
Reb Starblazer
Normally I wouldn't do something like this but man... Would you like some cheese to go with that whine? First you say yellow and blue styles are ok with you, and then right after that, you say that people who use yellow and blue only do one "cowardly attack". Please, pick one and stay with it... You don't like red because what, it does too much damage? You can't avoid their swing and then hit them while their guard is down? You find it so agonizingly painful to have to actually dodge? But blue and yellow, they're "close combat", they're easy to block, and do very little damage, so in your reasoning that makes them alright... How about kicking, that cowardly as well? Force powers? Guns? Turning on your lightsabre at all? May God have mercy on the poor souls who actually use everything at their disposal. Last time I checked, it was called playing the game, I suggest you try it sometime... We've gone through this so many times now, I don't even want to count anymore. After every one of the patches came out, there were so many complaints, so many whiners, so many people that just couldn't for the life of them learn to adapt. I guess I finally just got sick of it, and decided to vent here. If someone kills me with Red, they got me. I'm dead, not much I can do about it. I can do my damndest to make sure it doesn't happen again, but that's it. When it comes down to it people, it's only a game, so don't get your funderwear in a twist and say someone's a "coward", just because they play the game differently than you. Money isn't the root of all evil, intolerance is. People wonder why the world is so messed up, just take a look at games. If we can't even let people be themselves in a frickin' video game, then there's not much hope for the outside world now is there... But mind you, there's a big difference between people who play the game their way, and people who just come on to lame up a server, and ruin the experience for everyone. You however, seem to be blurring the line and confusing the two. So to everyone who wants to moan and complain about someone who doesn't live up to their standard of "bravery" and "honour", I believe Darth Kaan said it best with "Play, or play not. There is no whine." EDIT: And also, I believe this thread would be better suited for the Valley of the Jedi. The Swamp is an off-topic area so it's allowed here, but seeing as this thread is complaining about Jedi Outcast, it'll fit in better in the Valley. You would most likely get a better response in the Valley, and there might even be some people who actually agree with you. Oh, and do have a nice day;)
Darklighter
The_One89, you have been weighed, you have been messured...and you have been owned;)lol Seriously though, like Reb said, it is only just a game. The Red saber style is an option in the game, which means anyone has the right to use it...same with the other saber styles. I agree with expressing your views on a subject like this, but don't call people 'cowards' for playing a game a certain way.

SettingShadow
You arnt a coward for using the red style . It aint harder to beat than any other stance. I use all stances, Red mostly. And if you just cant beat them its not cause theyre "cowards" and uses Red, but because theyre better than you, or of course luck. It really is just as easy to kill someone not good with red as it is killing someone not good with blue or yellow stance.
Arreat
I like to use Yellow and blue. First i'd use yellow and keep trying to bs the guy, once i do i'd switch to blue stance and use the upslash attack to finish him off... I never use red, there are way too many ways where you can strike them dead. So overall Red = insecure and slow, yet strong.
SPY_jmr1
ya know.... in olden days, we did THIS! i'd like to hear reasons to leave this open that arn't crap...
C'jais
I was once a die-hard yellow user. I still find it is the stance that gives the most hectic and controlled fight. Blue is too fast for proper control, red looks eerily like the old JK1 "jousting matches". I hate to say it, but the red stance is technically superior. There's a bug with the stance that allows it to deal insane damage not even intended. Add to that, that the other stance's damages are way underpowered to boot, and red looks significantly better in theory. It's not always better in practice, but most people quickly give up on other stances because they're either considered spammy (and thus outlawed) or not as effective as red. Blue and yellow combined can defeat red with patience, but it takes a ton of practive to do it properly, and a ton of lunges to do it quickly. If you want to play all the stances properly, play NF (no kicking) and you'll see the red players have a harder time fleeing. My advice: Play and practice with ALL stances. Don't exclude yourself from neither blue, yellow or red.
Sephiroth CR
I for the most part tend to use the red stance, but I'm tryin right now to learn how to use all the stances in a combination.
Katarn07
I don't play online too much (played once), but I don't mind red. Blue is a bit wussy. Tavion uses it in SP and its a pain. I prefer that. Desann uses red. I don't think his saber attacks were at all good...
Anubis2003
Personally, I have always stuck to yellow which is the one I am best at. I really think that you should stick to your own style all the time (with the exception of changing to blue for gunners). All 3 have there advantages and are equally useful
Luc Solar
Sabers are quite different in sp and mp. Tavion and Desann used special stances. Not the ones that are normally available to us: blue, yellow or red. It is obvious that only a moron would not take the advantage that using all stances gives you. It's all a matter of choosing the right one at the right moment: Let's say that you are chasing someone: Are you going to hit him with red (which slows you down considerabely and gives the opponent a chance to escape while you are swinging nothing but air) or blue? Let's say someone has just missed a DFA and you plan on hitting him. What do you do? Strike once with yellow or do a blue lunge (which does a lot more damage)? Someone spams you with a blaster. Do you use red or blue to block it? Someone is hiding in a dark corner sniping people and doesn't see you coming. Will you kill him with a single DFA or 27 blue swings? I think I made my point, yes? C'jais
You made your point, yes Something I'm not clear on, however: Do some stances block blaster/saber attacks better than others? In the manual it says that blue stance is the best for blocking blaster shots, but I generally got the impression (from Artifex, no less) that red stance has superior blocking ability. Which is what, and why?
XERXES
stupidest crap ever...learn to beat him in his red style instead of complaining about it. Why are they cowards because they choose to fight using a different strategy than you. Why are they a coward if they run for health every time they get hurt..the health is there so they might as well damn use it, pu-lease. Study their weaknesses and take advantage of them...man this is the garbage i cant stand in gaming today...somebody gets their ass kicked and whines about it like they think whining will acomplish something.
