Admiral Vostok Posted January 13, 2003 Posted January 13, 2003 This isn't specifically about SWGB, but I want it in this forum just as a general education thing. Now I don't mean to rant but I just thought what is the harm in pointing this out so everybody is in the know? So remember, two E's in Wookiee.
Surfnshannon Posted January 13, 2003 Posted January 13, 2003 thanks for the information, i'm going to add it to my useless facts vault.
WolfmanNCSU Posted January 13, 2003 Posted January 13, 2003 The real sad thing is that I already knew that. Man, now I feel like a dork.
Darth Homer Posted January 13, 2003 Posted January 13, 2003 I'll remember that next time I spell wookie edit: While we're on symantics, "Spelt" isn't a word..."Spelled" is, though
Paragon_Leon Posted January 13, 2003 Posted January 13, 2003 thx for the heads up, but please, don't get started on the spelling here. it hurts for every language-lover in this vibrant community..
Admiral Vostok Posted January 15, 2003 Author Posted January 15, 2003 Sorry people, this thread originated in the "Galactic Discussion" forum and was moved. A lot of people there can't spell Wookiee. And actually either spelt or spelled is correct.
BCanr2d2 Posted January 15, 2003 Posted January 15, 2003 Is that like Kashyyyk, their home planet. What is it with the Wookiees and their infatuation with multiple letters?!
Darth Homer Posted January 15, 2003 Posted January 15, 2003 ok, I looked up "spelt" and Merriam Webster says it's from Brittish-english...I'm the proverbial Stupid American, so I didn't know that...oh well, my appologies to you, Vostok
Surfnshannon Posted January 15, 2003 Posted January 15, 2003 this reminds me of peewee herman show when they had the word of the day.. wookey
Boba Rhett Posted January 15, 2003 Posted January 15, 2003 Screw it. I'm gonna spell it Wucky from this point out.
Havoc Stryphe Posted January 15, 2003 Posted January 15, 2003 Don't you mean Wüki, Rhett? Like Droyd, Lay-a, Yoduh and Obeewahn, right?
