Sith Academy?

Recommended Posts

Not many of you may know this, but this is my first ever post (first time for everything I suppose). Now to the point:

Has anybody got the faintest idea just what became of the Sith academy? I mean, am I the only one left besides Talliusc? Is it realy worth my while to bother keeping the Sith Academy membership in my sig? Anyone? I have been away for quite some time as well as having much problems with my PC (mostly solved now, but still no E-mail). And yet much has changed. This area for one. I only noticed it today, because it was listed down the bottom with all the tech support stuff (I never realy look that far, mayhap I am blind).

Man, I feal like a lone fox among a rabid horde of chooks just entering this forum. But all the same I am glad that the Jedi academy has grown so popular. You guys deserve it! (odd thing for a Sith to say......)

Finally, I would like to apologise to Reb, Obs and anybody else that tried to contact me in the last few months. As I have said, I've been having much hassles with my PC and only just stumbled on some messages from my old E-mail address.

I am still around even if it dosen't look that way! :D:D:D:D

BTW: Does anyone still use Camus chat site any more? I finally got that working again....

Always two there are, no more, no less. :p

I am not sure about the sith academy. We kicked yall's buts a long time ago. :p

I haven't seen Divine Spirit in at least 1 and a half months. And last I seen him, he didn't even have the sith academy in his sig. It seems the sit hacademy is indeed gone. You are more then welcome to come over to our side. ;)

Yeah, in some way I already feel that I am an unofficial member of the LFJA. I will consider your offer, but then who will be left to write for the Sith? :D I suppose after episode three it won't really matter will it (asuming that it will end with ep3).

As for MSN, I'd hate to sound like some sort of newb, but what is it? Aside from getting involved with Yoda's Swamp and all, forums and chat sites are still fairly alien to me as I am far too used to just browsing the Net, and not so much getting involved with other people. This is not to say that I am not interested in speaking with others or anything, its just that it had taken me a long time before I even felt comfortable with talking to people that wasn't on a face to face basis.

Exactly. And still, it doesn't matter if you are a member of the Sith Academy, in the AW, you can still be a member of the LFJA. We'd love to have you join us:)You'd just be the bad guy in the roleplaying part of the establishment;)

MSN Messenger is a chat relay program which has the unique feature to function as a chat room bye members inviteing others to a conversation. It is a free download, and realatively easy to use. Just download the service and type my name: darthgroovy@hotmail.com into the buddy list and when you see my name next to a green buddy icon, simply double click on it and say hello. I will help you with the service if you need. ;)

I know what you mean, the first time I booted up MSN I was a bit nervous talking to everyone...

But now they can't get me to shut up, so I guess you'll fit in fine ;)

divine dropped the sith tags in his sig and i believe he decomissioned the academy site. but he kept his location set to his imperial throne so who knows as to his motives.

as for the sith academy i can confidently state that it will never die. as long as one member of the lfja stands i will not rest, and i will not leave.

though it is kinda lonely with slayne being on so infrequently. i guess it would be kinda silly for me to request a sith academy sub forum.... unless obi wants to give me one :D hehe didnt think so.

perhaps somebody could add some sort of sith-jedi congregation area in this subforum. ah well its just an idea, debate its merits and faults amongst yourselves i rarely visit this cursed place :p

good to see you still care slayne, i missed ya.

i understand your kinship to the LFJA but they are NOT to be trusted *glares at Reb, groovy, obi and darky* especially those ones.... unless of course they wanted to let us both have honorary memberships.... *listens to crickets* ...bah to heck with you then.

The Sith Academy was an establishment set up with the same intentions as the LFJA, except with Sith, and not Jedi lol. In the 'Academy Wars' (a roleplaying-story), the Sith Academy were the rivals of the LucasForums Jedi Academy.

Basically, as far as these forums are concerned, new recruits to the SA would join and become an apprentice to a Sith Master for a certain amount of time. I'm not exactly sure what the intentions were of this though. In the LFJA, it is our responsibility and aim to make these forums a pleasant place to post in by recruiting new members in need of guidance, and helping them earn the respect of others.

The leader of the SA though has long since left this place, and abandoned the Academy. There are only two members that I know of that still come and post here. If you are interested in joining the LFJA though, have a read through the 'Code of Conduct' sticky at the top of the forum, and post back here if you wish to learn more:)

Yea, back when I started LFJA and many were joining, Divine Spirit(who doesn't even come to the boards hardly at all anymore) joined my academy. Seeking to be the better half, he dispatched from LFJA and started his own sith academy, which had a whopping 4 or 5 members. :p

I offered Divine to come back, but he refused. Now he doesn't even claim the office of emporer in the sith academy any more.

The policy of the Sith Academy is that post counts did not matter. I admit, that this seemed attrative at first, but the rushed program ultimately lead to it's implosion. At least one of the teacher from the Sith Academy that I know of, was banned from LF. Darth Slayne, and Darth Tallisuc, are all that remains of their cause.

ah yes, the rushed program did seem a bit off. but it was opposite from you JA'ers so we went with it. i wont ask despite the fact that i dont know who you're talking about.

there are no masters now. slayne is beyond anything i could teach him and i joined first so he cant teach me :p i guess were both masters, or both the equivalent to knights at least.

and will somebody please continue the academy wars thread? im not ready yet to place my next installment and the thread seems to have... well... died. please keep this wonderful thing going. just remember all the fun it was in the summer and it will be back again.

Meh...no Groovy, your post does not suck. In fact it's so good, that nobody feels that they can match your literary skills of story writing, and therefore won't post [/suck up mode]

Hehe:DIt was a good post though. Oh alright then. Slayne, don't post your story yet, I have plenty of time tomorrow, I will post the next part of my story:)
