The alliance suffered a ton of defeats, a few of which are indeed seen in ESB, but why would GL make movies about the Alliance losing? He doens't have the screen time to do it. They just had more character, more heart, more determination, and the support of the force. Which is all it takes to win. Strength, power, invincibility are only little extras that add to the victory, but to me, those qualities mentioned above is more than enough for a victory. What did you expect to see? The empire completely crush the rebellion? Luke die? Vader stay evil? I thought the reversal of Vader was probably the best scene in the whole hexology (i still don't think any scene in epIII could beat it). Wraith 8 Posted February 2, 2003 Share Posted February 2, 2003 to be realy honest.. the good guys lost a lot to you know: episode 1 qui gon a lot of gungans a lot of pilots a lot of guards episode 2 amidala's ship + crew loads of Jedi loads of clone troopers 1 arm episode 3 not a lot yet.. but i swear to you it will be epidode 4 uncle owen and aunt beru the Tantive V Alderaan loads of pilots episode 5 echo base loads of troops loads of pilots han solo (for a while) bespin 1 hand episode 6 like a couple of capital ships loads of pilots. so in fact the good guyl lose to you know.
