Darklighter
To tell you the truth, as I am an FF fan, I am ashamed to say I haven't played this game. From what I've heard it's the best of the lot, even though my personal fave is FF8. I will check it out someday and see what it's like. While we're on the topic; Tyrion, if you can hear me out there, your PM box is full. Here is a new working link to your sig: http://www.wsmcafe.com/users/02081904f8m/image2page6.jpg
Tyrion
Thanks Darky. And no,I cannot hear you. I've completed FFVII once,it was great. Only problem was the story was pretty predictable towards the end...

Parts of the game where you are discovering past events and other things really makes your brain hurt, and you are really questioning what/who/where/when sepiroth is pratically the entire game, and it leaves you wondering. XERXES
darky, you should stop what your doin right now and play 7 =P you should also play 6, or just get Final Fantasy Anthology, and Final Fantasy Origins.
Divine Spirit
i heard that this was the best FF game so i decided to check it out to see if i liked it. im not a massive fan of this type of game so it didt really come as a surprise to find the game quite disappointing. a few years ago when *shudder* pokemon came out on the gameboy i got that game and spent hours playing on it but whenever i play those types of games i just cant seem to tell the difference between them. Nearly all of them consist of being in the eyes of an adventurer as he travels around with a group of people, upgrading weapons and the like, in the aim of defeating someone who is trying to take over the world. i suppose the real meat of the game comes with the details in the storyline but i would like a bit of a variation. i didnt get very far in FF7 but the storyline did seem pretty cool. sometimes i can really get into these types of games though, have you guys ever played Golden Sun in the GBA? i played that for ages but in the end it just got so tedious, going through the same routine trying to escape random encounter because i just wanted to carry on with the game. sorry if i offended anyone in this thread. i just really wanted to get into a FF game because i'd heard they were very good - which im sure they are, i was just hoping that they would appeal to me im just waffling on now:D
Darklighter
I'll be sure to check out the game, it sounds pretty damn good. I've already played 6, it's very very good. Like with 7, the graphics aren't too amazing but the gameplay more than makes up for it. No double posting please XERXES:)
Eldritch
Say what you like about the graphics in the rest of the game (which I didn't think were that bad, considering they were just starting to do true 3D at the time) but the battle graphics and FMV cutscenes for FFVII were amazing. You really should play every Final Fantasy if you can - they're all great, but some are greater than others. The only one I didn't like was FF IX, but that was largely due to the character choices they made. My favorite is FF X, followed by FF VIII and then closely by FF VII. FF IV (2 here in the U.S.) also holds a special place in my heart, as it was the first RPG I ever played.

I don't know where to go... If you've got the key to Midgar, you don't fly over it. You land near it, and then walk in, and use the key to open the door to the slums. That's why you got the key in the first place, lol.

nova_wolf
FFVII is the greatest game ever, and having polayed it through 3 times, and soon to begin on 4th time round, I can help. This time round, I am gonna go for the LOT! ALL materia and all limit breaks and all weapons - thats the only thing I didn't do last time round. Found a cool Chicobos nest though! For those of you who are interested in how to take out both of the optional Weapons, I can DEFINITLY help there. When I was a denzin of the FFAlpha forums (good place to go for ALL FFs), I was the legendary Weapon Killer, as I had footage of me playing where I took Ruby without him doing any attacks, and Emerald with him only doing ONE attack, and that was a Revenge Stomp before he died. I am willing to give the secret of Ruby slaying, but will only PM - it's fun to try and figure it yourself, and you won't believe how simple it is in the end! (Ps - Ruby was meant to be the easiest to defeat, but for some reason, these days, he is the most difficult... Why is this?)
