Guest Jed
How do you think the soundtrack for the game will be? It's a topic nobody really thinks about a lot, but matters in the game. The part we heard in the video has some nice audio, but has anyone heard anything else?
Jedi Apprentice
Did you ever read the chat with Jeremy Soule (guy doing the music)? That might answer some questions. I expect the music to be great. All the other games he has done have been spectacular. Music is very integral in games. It sets the whole mood, and your right that people hardly ever think about it. Taos
To add to what JediApprentice said....expect to hear all of the classic Star Wars themes as well. It's going to be great! I'm sure there will also be some new music as well.....
Katarn07
Wish Clint Bajakian could do some stuff too. I love his work in the new Indy game (well, of what is out) and Dark Forces. Listening to a redone version of that now, as a matter a fact. Want it? Click here
Notion
Considering that 99% of the game's music is jeremy soule it should be interesting. His bounty hunter stuff is good, but I hope that they at LEAST use duel of the fates somewhere.
Katarn07
He did BH? I liked the music on the site (don't have a console, so don't have the game... )
Notion
Yup, mostly all of it. I have a gamecube, but unfortunately do not have this game yet. You can download some mp3's from the bounty hunter site.

Notion
Yeah they said they will have the theme and maybe another song but very little John Williams in the game.
Guest Jed
Yeah, I read the chat already, just wanted to know if anyone had extra info... Well, I also hope that the Duel of the Fates is somewhere in there.
Burrie
Doesn't the X-Box preview have some of the new music?
FunClown
I'm looking forward to the music more from a technical standpoint. This is because in that music chat he said he was using sampling. This is the same technology used by MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface). A sample is a sound by a prerecorded musical instrument. Like you could record a trumpet playing middle C and you can use that sample when you write the music and the computer can use that middle C for a trumpet. It may also increase and decrease the frequency using that one sample so you don't need a sample for each note. Though you can use more than one sample. I've actually tried creating samples from the music on the Jedi Outcast .pk3. It didn't work as well as planned because it was only a half attempt and those musicians don't play exactly what I want. Would be cool if Lucasarts released the samples. Then I could get star wars midis and listen to them as though it were an mp3. Pretty cool, again from a technical standpoint. Ulic Qel-Droma
if you have played Dungeon Sige you have heard some of jeremy souls work, and the musical score in dungeon sige is great, truly marvelous work. though for a star wars game like kotot i did hope for Jhon williams but soul is just as good. Notion
Yeah I told Bioware it was a mistake bringing him in (all he had previously done was Tolkein style RPGs and celtic type music). And now, I see that maybe I was wrong.
Lord Glorfindel
Dual of the Fates would be cool as the default saberfighting music, so whenever your fighting with your lightsaber DOTF is playing in the background

Taos
I want to hear music from the OT and the prequals both. I really enjoy all of the music from the SW movies. I can't wait to hear some new music added for the game as well. 220 - we'll play that......soon!

Naphtali
I would like some Star wars themes, but a lot of them are too char related, that means that Sith theme/Sidious?emperor theme is out, Dooku's misterious theme out, Empire, Vadar darker Empire theme out, although I would like to hear Bespin Theme, the astroid chase, the deathstar, and final deathstar attack theme
Aerothorn
Soule is a good pick- his stuff is sometimes masterful(Morrowind) and sometimes overly generic and forgettable(Neverwinter Nights) but its always broad and epic(sometimes too much so) just like John Williams. It'll probably be a lot of old Williams music, though, like other Star Wars games.
