Jared Sinn Posted March 5, 2003 Posted March 5, 2003 I'll be neutral, skipping down the middle of the road. Or will I?.... JS
Fraydenz Posted March 5, 2003 Posted March 5, 2003 I think I will start out neutral, and see where that leads me, tho I have this idea that I might like to be a covert Rebel. Not %100 decided yet, tho.
Soromonu Posted March 6, 2003 Posted March 6, 2003 ...I will be neutral for now as well....hmmm...urgk...unnn... (resists the power of the dark side)
Khaalis Posted March 6, 2003 Posted March 6, 2003 Well, technically we ALL start neutral. I dont think you can just declaire right from the start. I think you have to gain a certain number of faction points in a faction before you can declaire yourself an Overt for one side or the other. Personally I like that. Gives me room to play around with faction from both sides. If I dont like either I can stay neutral, or I can go to whichever side I think fits my skills/needs/talents best, but I have a stron feeling I will be going Hutt. On a side note - I would love this armor just for the Panache
Wraith 8 Posted March 6, 2003 Posted March 6, 2003 Neutral and trying to stay that way.... if i HAVE to make a choice.. i rather go rebel.. but if the imps pay me more... ill be imp
DarkLordJoethe8 Posted March 7, 2003 Posted March 7, 2003 i will most likely b an imp, only because there the bad guys:) but if i anger the imps and they come to hate me, which i doubt will happen, i will go rebel, but at start ill ba neutral, till i get used to the controls

DarkLord14 Posted March 8, 2003 Posted March 8, 2003 All Associate members must stay neutral. (I must resist the dark side.)
setsuko Posted March 8, 2003 Posted March 8, 2003 Quote Originally posted by DarkLord14 All Associate members must stay neutral. (I must resist the dark side.) I'm really not sure about that. However, most =A= members will propably be neutral...
setsuko Posted March 8, 2003 Posted March 8, 2003 Yes, you can be covert. That means that you get less perks, but overt people from the other side can't just mow you down in an alley as soon as they see you. With greater risks comes greater rewards...
Pedro The Hutt Posted March 8, 2003 Posted March 8, 2003 If I end up choosing a side it will most likely be the Rebel Alliance.
UltimateGenie Posted March 9, 2003 Posted March 9, 2003 Overall wouldnt it be stupid to join a side in the first place? It seems to me that it would be impossible to destory either side to begin with. It sounds like you wont be able to destroy one side because that would totally destroy one of the major points of the game. Plus joining a side would just paint a major bullseye on your back because you are always are going to have enemies. At least if you are neutral you dont have a group of people that are after you....at least a group that you are aware of. These are just my thoughts and I know so little of the game so I wouldnt even take them to heart. I am sure you all have good reasons to join the sides that you are. Good luck to all..peace:fett:
CaptNeuRon Posted March 9, 2003 Posted March 9, 2003 Cant Pick a Side now till I know which one is the underdog on my galaxy then they become the rebels even if its the empire. I mean if everyone plays the rebellion then that make them the empire right?
setsuko Posted March 9, 2003 Posted March 9, 2003 Well, the point of joining a side is combat. Pure and simple! You'll see a lot more action if you join a side, for good and bad. If you play SWG for the combat alone, joining a side is a good idea. If you don't then not joining (or being covert) might be a good idea. It's all about what you want to experience in the game: neither way is better than the other in itself, they are just better or worse for the actual player.
2coasts Posted March 11, 2003 Posted March 11, 2003 I will join the empire. will there be any roaming bands of imperial war parties? setting up camps and such?
smirny Posted March 13, 2003 Posted March 13, 2003 looks like Imp. more popular than i thought... i also will be going Imp. i want my own star destroyer ...yeah ok i know, but i can dream
