1..... I just picked up my copy of Wind Waker. It says its a tration to wear the green clothes, honoring the Hero of Time (OoT) Anyway, does this mean the charector we play is not Link? Because he gets those clothes aa a gift. I always thought they were the same Link, but I guess not....

2...... BTW, Great game. Post your feedback here. :)

No, they aren't the exact same person. They are different Links from different times from how I understand it.

How ome in every game, they all look alike? :D

BTW, Get on MSN so I can tell you aobut how I got the game even though you know. :D

I just got my copy today too.

I take it that this Link is the same as the other one, but since he's the Hero of Time, he travels through time.

Yes, but the story is different. This time, I don't think he's going to travel through time. He's going to travel by raft! It could be both though. I'm confused.

Don't worry, we're all confused.

Yes, according to an interview from Nintendo Power, it is supposed to take 100 years after Oot, I believe....

From what I have understood by the makers of the game Link is a representation of a hero. Ganon/Ganondorf is the representation of evil. Same story different actors type thing. Instead of creating a whole new character each time they just create a new level.

My friend got his today but since I have my hockey game and he has his Lakers game he is coming over tomorrow to play. Cannot wait.

In short the Links are not the same people.

Wind Waker is set 100years after Ocarina of Time. Hyrule has been flooded (hence the islands and ocean etc) and Link from Ocarina of Time is a legendary hero of myth. The Link in Wind Waker is a descendent of Link from OoT... and of course I know something you don't know... well it's pretty obvious who the last boss will be :D eheheh

Ah, found the exact article form NP. Ill quote it:

Q: In the Begging of the Wind Waker, we learn that Link is the Hero of Time. How many Links are there [in overall Zelda timeline?]

A: In our opinion, every Zelda game features a different Link. A new hero named Link always rises to fight evil.

Just played about 3 hours worth. Pretty cool. The graphics grow on you BUT I need to kill something. I played three hours and killed like 3 things and 332 bushes, 184 pots, and 37 flowers. I had to hide from all the enemies. Sucked the big one.

I happen to like the enemies disappearing into a purple cloud.

Pretty progressive game so far. It is also a lot harder than all the other games with the similar name and for that I am appreciative.

I only have a few complaints about what I've seen so far.

1. The way Z targetting is set up it sometimes causes problems when fighting multiple enemies. For me anyways. :)

2. On most things the cel shading looks great but on some things it seems to make it look extremely dated.

3. Some of the songs sound exactly like midis.

I know but what can ya do... sure a lot of console midi's do sound pretty kewl despite the fact that they are just enhanced midi's... but who's gonna pay a full on orchestra to do the music? lol...
