DirtyWombat Posted May 27, 2003 Posted May 27, 2003 So... I'm gearing up for a nice long weekend catching up on the SWG life... Strolled out of work like it didn't exist... Got some beve's... Got nothing but time (East Coast is full-on overcast)... Got home and fired up the PC and that's when it happened... The sickening smell of fried electronics filled the room... That's right... Mobo go bye-bye... Now... I'm a karma minded fellow and my question is this... Is this a sign...??? Did I build up my groove so high that I brought this upon myself...??? Is this a sign of greater evils to befall me if I continue along the SWG path... Or merely a tragic cosmic glitch...??? Please help me bring philosophic light to my Mobo's coincidental death... Jackrabbit Posted May 28, 2003 Posted May 28, 2003 It's good luck as far as I'm concerned. I mean, would you rather have it happen now, or the first week of SWG? And, if you have a warranty, you get a new one for free .

I'm two days out from my new PC, so I'm not that upset... It just bugs me how the timing plays out sometimes... Wombat
Evad Posted May 28, 2003 Posted May 28, 2003 Wombat, I feel your pain. Not as great a pain as yours I will admit, but pain none the less. I bought a new video card for my machine so that I could play Galaxies, along with some other extras. One day, fire up the puppy and *SNAP* Hmm... what's that smell? Huh? "What do you mean monitor?" "No I don't understand, why aren't you getting a signal?" "No wait, power off mode in 5 seconds?" "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!" So an exchange with the wonderful people at Mwave.com and a week later, and I'm in business. *sigh* Stuipd ATI.
