JekRendar Posted June 25, 2003 Posted June 25, 2003 I have called you all hear to discuss an important event. Starsider has been opened on opening day. This may sound like good news, it's really bad. Due to the reasoning of the Devs, where the extra ten servers would open within the following days, they are waiting for the first ten to fill up. One of those ten is Starsider. It has been estimated that it will take a few days to fill up a server, that means Ass Members have 48 hours to get SWG, download the patches, and establish a character on Starsider. Your mission, if you choose to accept it, will be to do just that. However, if a majority on the PA is left out of the Server, then movement is the only choice. That is all. God's speed to you.

Murashu Posted June 25, 2003 Posted June 25, 2003 As they said before they will not allow the servers to fill up completely before opening a new one. People will be able to join Starsider for years to come so don't worry if you dont get on day one. What worries me is the overcrowding later on as the server matures. And if you didn't notice, 12 servers are now opening on day 1 instead of 10. 8 east coast and 4 west coast.
Sunshine Badass Posted June 25, 2003 Posted June 25, 2003 I think they still should have waited a week, whether Starsider needed opening or not. Now we get to play with the random PKers and "wierdos" out there who just decide willy-nilly to join our server. :(

You can join the server and make a character when the server is not as full anyway, no matter how many visits it at peak hours. Us european players will propably have quite an advantage there. Emergency my ass.

If that's the case, everybody who wishes to make a charecter on Starsider will be able to. I'm sure that alot of people, myself included will want to roll an alt on another server. Don't worry, it'll be fine.

setsuko Posted June 25, 2003 Posted June 25, 2003 Exactly. I'll simply try to find out what servers the majority of my friends are when Starsider is full. You can make a character on the server months after release, just as long as there is room at the moment.
