Jem
Originally posted by edlib Ooh! What model? Yes, yes, what model? Originally posted by edlib I've been fighting the urge to buy new equipment all year, but I really want a new Strat. And a Taylor acoustic. And a 5 string J-bass. And a POD. And a couple of other things... I almost bought a new Ibanez because I`m deeply unsatisfied with my current Tremolo Arm, I managed to push the temptation away. I wanted a guitar with an EdgePro Double Locking Tremolo instead of my 555 BK with a Lo-TRS II crapé (note my elegant way of saying crap.) But I`m curently looking at other models, I`ve been too attached with Ibanez. Any Suggestions edlib? I`m not really into fenders and I`ve been thinking about forgetting about a Tremolo and settling for something like a Gibson SG. There was this really interesting one but I forgot the brand, I`ll find out and tell you then. Not that I`m going to buy it any time sooner, but it`s still nice to know what you want but can`t have I`v been also dying for a POD. But I`m happy to say that I`m over that now... Now I want a POD II The only thing I`m willing to spend money on right now is a String Dampener, but no luck finding one. And I don`t want to bother ordering. DAMN THE ADDICTIVE SICKNESS !!! DAMN IT TO HELL !!!

As you know, I'm a big fan of Paul Reed Smith, but they can get pricey. (Although the Santana III model is nice, but not too expensive.) Same with Anderson Guitars. If money were no object, i'd be goin' for one of these. I also really happen to like Ernie Ball/ Music Man Guitars. These are a bit different, but they are all great. This is the compay that made Van Halen's guitar before he switched to Peavey. Carvin is supposed to make some really nice guitars that aren't too expensive. You can custom order them as well for a little more. Epiphone makes affordable versions of all the popular Gibson models. Then there's always companies like Yamaha. http://www.yamaha.com For something really unusual, you could always go with a Guild, or if you're really out there, a Gretch. Still,.. it's hard to go wrong with a classic Fender. Other wierd options: B.C. Rich. Kramer. Dean Guitars. Charvel/ Jackson Guitars

Nitro
Actually, they served Alec Guinness on a set made to look like a tavern, somewhere in the Mojave desert, if I'm not mistaken... I could always just smuggle a few of those most nifty widgetized cans in a suitcase, and we could go to Hawaii.
Zoom Rabbit
Actually...for the very first Star Wars (ANH) Tatooine was in Tunisia. I suspect they filmed the tavern scene at Ellestree (sp?) studios in England, though. For ROTJ, Tatooine was, yes...in the Mojave. They saved money by filming it in the US the second time around. I have no idea where Tatooine was these last two movies. Probably all CGI, anyway.
Nute Gunray
it was also tunisia again.
Redwing
For AotC, at least, they used the original sets from ANH to film the Lars Homestead scenes. I don't remember about the rest but I believe it was indeed Tunisia...
