Mr. Chopper
I've made a dome according to richD's tutorials, and I want to texture it, but any texture I use looks hideously "smeared" along the brush....... should I have textured it beforehand, or is there something completely different I need to do? Mercenary
With the surface inspector, have you tried Set..., Natural or Fit in the patch section?
Lil Killa
If he doesn't than something is seriously screwed up. press natural in the surface inspector and if it still looks funny than press cap in the surface inspector.

wedge2211
Hurrah, a whole new way to legitimize forum spam and casue the forums to go down... Getting back to the topic, textures will always appear slightly "smeared" on domes, just because of the way the vertices are positioned. Try cycling through the "Natural," "Cap," and "Fit" texture-positioning options in the surface inspector. If you have GtkRadiant, you can press SHIFT+S to get to the patch inspector, and then you can stretch, shrink, shift, or rotate the texture manually.
