Mattsius
A new petition with the name "AL LOWE MUST BE INVOLVED IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE NEXT LEISURE SUIT LARRY GAME" has been started at this location . I urge you all to sign the petition! The more the better.
pleto4_ryan
why people are SO mean towards these good support petitions. I mean...why not.. It IS a way to show what most think a believe is it? Will they hear us? That's another subject. But don't we have to show what we think? Is it better to just agree with something and not showing it out? fov
my immediate reaction was, why bother? i'm jaded from the time i passed a petition around in high school to keep My So-Called Life from getting cancelled. then again, ken williams signed it... (the LSL petition, i mean!) -emily

GinnyW
I agree with pleto. I haven't even played the games (and yes, I do want to someday) but I'm signing because a sequel without it's original author is not very likely to be very good. Then again, MI3 was great (the part I played at least, the demo) but it might've been just as good or better with Ron Gilbert. So anyway, I signed (with my real name ). Kingzjester
I agree with ChaosFish: I doubt Al Lowe would help his creation much. LSL is a stupid load of steamin' feces - on levels too numerous to list. I never particularly enjoyed LSL games.

DomStLeger
Sierra have treated their fans badly for too long. Signing this petition gives us a voice to tell them we're fed up. This is just the latest in a series of insults. For example, sierra have not made avaliable their games in any way shape or form for a long time, they've come down heavy handed through the IDSAA on anyone who tries to enjoy their creations, they've been unsupportive of the fans and ignored us. Now they have decided to resurrect a loved series yet they're doing it without the person who made it so great. I say enough is enough. Ok they may well ignore the petition, but it's worth a try. It'll only take a few minutes of your time and you'll be doing something worthwhile. On the Al Lowe message boards a concerted campaign is actually getting going, I think it diserves our support and I for one am right behind them. Imo it's either with Al Lowe or don't do it at all. Mattsius
Originally posted by JRThomas I honestly doubt that petitions can achieve anything. But maybe I just signed too many "Get Ron Gilbert to make another Monkey Island game" to judge this from an objective point of view. Ron Gilbert's situation was pretty different than Al Lowe's is today. Firstly Ron Gilbert was working for another game company, Al Lowe is pretty much unemployed. Secondly Ron Gilbert was, as far as I could tell, not really interested in make another MI game, Al Lowe, on the other hand, is very much interested in making another Larry game. LucasArts had people that could take over the production and make another, if not great then atleast good, MI game. Sierra, on the other hand, have no one, at least as far as I can tell, that could make a playable Larry game which would be loyal to the previous Larry games. I also feel that Sierra have treated their fans very bad ever since Ken and Roberta Williams left the company, actually. They shouldn't be able to behave like this. I happen to be a member of this little team (we're only four people) that's running this campaign and I thank you, Dom, for your support. We have some great ideas on getting through to Sierra and making them notice us. We, of course, have the petition and other than that we have the campaign which goals can be viewed here, but before reading that you should read this to get the whole picture of what's going on. Also one of our team members is working on a web site called Larry Lives, but there's only a temp page there for the moment. I suggest that you all add the address to your favorites though, so that you have it when the real site's coming up. For questions, remarks or something else, you can contact us buy posting a message on Al Lowe's Message Board (you don't need to register to post) or buy sending me an e-mail (you'll find the address buy looking in my profile).
