If you say you make the run in 3 minutes from the lake retreat to the crafters retreat, I am sorry to say but that is a flat out lie. I'm with Vega here, show me how you can do it in 3 minutes or tell us the truth.

 

It takes 5 minutes for burst run to refresh so in your 3 minutes you are able to burst from for 1 minute, rest 5 minutes then burst run another minute. Sorry but you are full of it.

 

Wraith is 100% correct that we dont have to live there so as soon as my money expires in my house I will be moving to a nicer location with a view and a nearby town to do business in.

Oh and Neoc, just because you dont mind running 7k meters to kill a NPC that awards you money and BH points and combat exp doesnt mean we should all love doing it 2-3 times a day to go to our houses. Pay me 5,000-6,000 credits for running to my house and I would do it no probelm. But at this point I am paying shuttle fees to get me from a star port to the lake retreat then running 17 minutes 1 way. Bad comparison bud.

i agree. it is a bit out there. but it will get better, just wish we knew a more precise time to when PA citys are available.. or if the creature mounds and etc transportation would be out faster. i wouldn't mind the trip if i had a swoop or some type of creature to ride out there..that would rock.

Wherever the PA hall is placed, that's where my house will be. So, leaders, where is the hall going to be placed?

My opinion isn't a very convincing argument, but I think I should put it up here so everybody knows where I stand.

 

I love the PA location right now. I'll say the same thing I tell everybody else; miles of flat land, good resources (IMO), and far away from cities. I think far away from cities is a must. How can you have a city that's right next to another? They might get more walking traffic, but I wouldn't take a shuttle there. Look at the map of Naboo. All the different cities are located in perfect positions. The only place that doesn't have a city is the fourth corner...and that's us! If people want to go to the middle of Naboo, they go to Keren, Deeja Peak, or LR. If they want to go to the NW corner, they go to Theed, Kaadar NE, Moenia SE. IMHO, a city in the SW corner of the map is perfect.

 

The only way Episode I influenced my decision to live on Naboo is because it showed me what it looked like. Lush green grass, rolling hills, exotic swamps (like the rain forest). Corellia, on the other hand is arid, with yellow grass, and those nasty trees that are bigger on the top then the bottom. The landscape and wildlife reminds me of Africa, which isn't a place that appeals to me. I decided a while ago that wherever the PA town, I would still live on Naboo.

 

So, how long exactly is this walk? I've heard 3 min, and I've heard 17 min. I think it's somewhere around...13. I love this downtime. Why? Well, I gives me time to read this book, it lets me get a much needed stretch, food and bathroom break, it gives me time to check the forums, and it lets me craft. I know these activities don't work with everybody, but like I said, this is just my personal opinion.

 

As far as the cost of travel, I don't have a problem. I can't speak for others though, and it's not like I can argue the point. My personal opinion is this; if you have no reason to come, don't. I go there to craft, and relax. Before you set out, think to yourself..."Why am I going?" I'm not trying to sound like a dick, but seriously, why are you walking those 4 kilometers (plus flying into LR from wherever)? It's not like you're going to get hanged if you don't see the PA town once a week. I go to the retreat, mine copper, make slicing tools, and then make 2k a slice. This more than covers the cost of travel. Is there copper closer to Theed? Probably, but remember the second reason I go to the town; to relax.

 

If my post comes across as rude, I don’t mean it to be. I feel very strongly about the area our PA is at right now, though, and I would hate it if the town had to be moved again. I can understand the Artisans’ feelings about vendor access, but there are ways to remedy that. An idea was thrown around about a house closer to Theed with vendors in it. What happened to that idea? Also, the Rebels are starting to hear about the Imp base north of us, and I think that is going to start to bring in a lot of traffic (I sent out an ingame email telling all the crafters to start stocking their vendors more).

 

When player cities come out, things will be better. Sure it’s a while off, but that doesn’t mean we should move the entire town. What will that accomplish?

Hopefully mounts and vehicles will help, but they should be expensive. I hate the idea of everyone having vehicles, a ton of cash, and a ship. Most people in the SWU were not rich.

 

Before the mounts update is released, I should be able to get mostly every1 dewbacks (I'll Try). If you prefer a vehicle just say so.

I think everyone knows once the PA cities comes out that the city would be better away from another city, but do you guys realize we are talking months before this is even considered?

 

Even when the PA cities are introduced, who knows how long it will take to make one? We dont have a PA hall a month into the game yet but everyone thinks PA cities are going to miraculously appear within a few weeks. It wont happen, its MONTHS away from now.

 

For some people they have no reason to visit the PA city, some of us run a business out of crafting and selling items. If I need to use my factory, which alot of medical supplies do, then I have to ride to theed, pay 369 CR to ride to the lake retreat, run 17 minutes to my house, make the item, run 17 minutes back to the lake retreat, pay 369 CR to ride to Theed then go to whatever planet I needed to start with.

 

In a few months when vehicles and player mounts are in game this wont be an issue, but for now it's a huge deterent. And the whole deal about no one having to have thier house with the PA is pretty dumb if you think about what we are trying to do. How can we have a PA city if everyone lives in different locations?
