Deadmeat_X Posted August 13, 2003 Posted August 13, 2003 What the hell? Did the Eminem foundation suddenly run out of money or something? I'm not talking about the song (I never liked the guy), but about the video. it's so...cheap. I mean from Eminem you'd expect more. this is just sad. 'The whole video is suposed to be a live-performance. The setting is awful, the video looks like it has been done in one shot, the performance is ridiciously poor, and worst of all: THERE's NO AUDIENCE! So what the fk is going on? Did Eminem hit rock bottom or sum?
Darth Groovy Posted August 13, 2003 Posted August 13, 2003 Yeah. I dunno, I quit watching videos years ago. Most videos do suck, the only time I ever see them, is if I am at Best Buy or Target, and one happens to be on. I never sit down and watch music videos though.
RicardoLuigi... Posted August 13, 2003 Posted August 13, 2003 i watch music videos all the time... but i don't know which one you're talking about... i probably would never watch it anyway because i detest eminem. and i hope he did hit rock bottom.
SamNMax Posted August 14, 2003 Posted August 14, 2003 1- Music video's suck 2- How the Hell could he hit rock bottom? He rolli'n in it. 3- People who hate people for no reason, *Mole* are... I wont go on.
RicardoLuigi... Posted August 14, 2003 Posted August 14, 2003 People who hate people for no reason, *Mole* are... I wont go on. i don't hate for no reason. everything i do or say has a reason behind it, so it's not like i wouldn't have a reason to hate eminem because i do have one. and i don't really hate eminem, i didn't mean to say that, what i meant was that i don't like eminem, and i don't particularly like listening to his music. anyway...i could go into depth, but then there'd be a novel here and most of it would just be repititious, as i have a tendency to repeat myself when dealing with these kinds of things.
Guybrush122 Posted August 14, 2003 Posted August 14, 2003 Originally posted by Das Mole i don't hate for no reason. Yeah? Well, whats your reasoning? My personal opinion, is that I don't like Eminem's music. Though I have respect for him. And rap. I still hate it though.
Alien426 Posted August 14, 2003 Posted August 14, 2003 Originally posted by Frenchyd can't spell crap without rap. And you can't spell Techno without No. And you can't spell Dance without... without... without... well Dance music sucks.
RicardoLuigi... Posted August 14, 2003 Posted August 14, 2003 okay, fine, my reasoning is that i usually don't like most rap music, some is okay, and i think eminem has talent and i don't think he's awful i just usually don't like listening to rap music, and quite frankly he sounds the same as everyone else to me. i don't see a difference between his music and any other rapper's music, and since i don't like mass-produced android kewpie dolls (such as britney, christina, and other misc. teeny-bopper girls, or in this case: rappers, i know they're not kewpie dolls, but they're mass-produced androids) that are all the same, i'm not going to like eminem any more than any other rapper. wow, i think i did a pretty good job of not repeating myself.
Frenchyd Posted August 14, 2003 Posted August 14, 2003 the thing that borthers me about rap music is that there's limitied skill involved. "Oooh. I can talk really fast!" I mean, I saw an episode of Punk'D and Britney Spears was rapping.
RicardoLuigi... Posted August 14, 2003 Posted August 14, 2003 oh, yeah, i saw that episode. it was atrocious. i mean, the idea was good, but... yeah.
Deadmeat_X Posted August 15, 2003 Author Posted August 15, 2003 Originally posted by Das Mole oh, yeah, i saw that episode. it was atrocious. i mean, the idea was good, but... yeah. But it had Britney Spears in it. You can't spell 'Britney Spears sucks' without writing 'Britney Spears', right?

So they don't show commercials in between movies and series where you live?
Ernil Posted August 16, 2003 Posted August 16, 2003 can't spell crap without rap. Hmmm...thats my....exact feeling. I am deeply into music, and I hold the type of music I listen to close to my heart. To even consider rap is out of the question. Do I have respect for rap? No. The EXTREME lack of talent, idea, and brain involved is close to 0. Yet, I hear about how it is so good from random people at school all the time. And it is actually nearly insulting to the amazingly talented musicials i listen to. In conclusion....I dont like rap. I've had (sometimes) voilent problems with rappers near me (didnt start it), and things like that have driven me to lose all respect for the idea. And eminem's lyrics scare the bajeezes out of me....

There are some really good rappers. I'm mostly a rocker, but I do really enjoy acts like the Beasty Boys and Jurassic 5
Ernil Posted August 16, 2003 Posted August 16, 2003 There are some really good rappers. I'm mostly a rocker, but I do really enjoy acts like the Beasty Boys and Jurassic 5 Since I haven't heard ALL rap, (including the guys you quoted, a little of the beasties though) I can't judge ALL rap. It's the very famous, hollywood loved insane rappers that grate on my nerves. I'll go talk to the "Rappers" group in my school and ask their opinion on the above rappers you mentioned.
NiKo Posted August 16, 2003 Posted August 16, 2003 eminem is a good rapper. and i'm saying this as someone who doesnt listen to rap usually. i respect his skills of rhyming. what i dont like about him is the way he asumes the whole world revolves around him...its "shady this, shady that" "me me me" the guys ego is way too big. but he's okay as a musician... i'd much rather see him fronting a metal band, but whatever

NiKo Posted August 17, 2003 Posted August 17, 2003 yeah they do... annoying little critters arent they?
Guybrush122 Posted August 17, 2003 Posted August 17, 2003 Agreed...I hardly ever hear a rap song made about something else besides the A) Rapper B) The rapper's money C) The rappers gansta and/or pimpin lifestyle D) Their "hoes" E) Their drugs, guns, and parties F) How much their hoes want to do them...despite the fact that they're ugly as poo and have gold teeth and bandages and absolutely no charm whatsoever.
Deadmeat_X Posted August 17, 2003 Author Posted August 17, 2003 Yeah I hate rappers who can do nothing but bragging...
SamNMax Posted August 19, 2003 Posted August 19, 2003 Originally posted by NiKo eminem is a good rapper. and i'm saying this as someone who doesnt listen to rap usually. i respect his skills of rhyming. what i dont like about him is the way he asumes the whole world revolves around him...its "shady this, shady that" "me me me" the guys ego is way too big. but he's okay as a musician... He stopped the Shady sh*t years ago. Now, he's just Marshall Mathers. You havn't herd his latest record, have you? P.S: 2-Pac= best rapper ever "Lil Bow Bow"= worst "rapper" ever.
RicardoLuigi... Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 2-Pac= best rapper ever i think missy elliott is the best rapper ever. i mean, if you've heard the song "work it", you'll know what i'm talking about. :D:D
SamNMax Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 You havn't herd 2-Pac, it seems. Miss E's terrible. No other rapper had the soul 2-Pac ever did. Do yourself a favor and track down Thug Mansion. The name sounds like a typical, now-a-days rap, but he's talking about Hevan.
