FlashRam Posted August 20, 2003 Share Posted August 20, 2003 It was no force. Map was NS Hideout. I went into the room with the little pit and just started kicking people who attacked me into it. Soon, this drew the attention of several empowered admins, who I then proceeded to kick into the pit as they came at me trying to blue lunge kill me while empowered. This made them mad, and they kicked me. I came back in (my name this whole time was padawan) and had basically drawn the attention of the whole server, everyone was trying to kick me into the pit, I continued to dominate, only getting killed a few times by empowered saber throws. they didn't even try to grip me, even though it was no force. They demanded I change my name, so I did, to FK FlashRam. Finally, they seemed to get some grudging respect for me, and left me alone to lame in that room. Then one of their members came in, and attacked me while his saber was down, (I purposefully didn't attack him, even though mine was up, just to see what he would do) he kicked me. I proceeded to chase him into the next room (he ran for it) and knocked him down and killed him. I swear on my tru jedi honr that I will screw that server up as much as possible when I get to it. It's also funny how admins try to enforce no 'laming' but they don't realize how lame it is when they're empowered or terminated for no reason. FK | unnamed Posted August 20, 2003 Share Posted August 20, 2003 Recently all I have been playing is SoF 2, RTCW ET and Q3 Urban Terror and to be honest I’m in a state of “shock and awe”. It was totally amazing to connect to these servers and see… every single person playing the games they bought (or downloaded for ET). Sure some were good, some sucked, some were hacking, some were accusing people of hacking but every single person was playing the game and trying to win. Another thing I could not help but notice was when I killed people; sometimes I got a “nice shot”. No “lamer”, no call vote kick <me>, an actual honest to God compliment from another player. Wow, I mean I got the “gf” now and then from people in JK2 but in these 3 games I have recently been playing not once did anyone try to remove me from the server simply because I “killed” them. Friggen amazing.. Another thing that has me speechless is each of these 3 games had various servers running “admin mods” (shrub, SoF 2 osp beta, etc.) and not a single time was I screwed with by an admin. Hell, we (our team) even played like total bastards in RTCW ET by calling in air raids on the opposing teams spawn point non stop for close to 15 minutes. Oh believe me it totally pissed them off, they called us every four letter word you could imagine but not once, not a single time did any of them initiate a vote to remove us nor did the admins boot us or admin “punish” us for doing it. I used to light heartedly poke fun at the “saber noobies” of jk2 and their silly “codes of honor” but since leaving jk2 and playing these games and seeing how other gamers treat each other, I honestly can say these people (the abusive admins, the honor noobs who cry “lamer” every 12 seconds) are nothing but bitter insecure self absorbed ***holes for the way they (mis)treat people who simply bought a game and are trying to play it and enjoy it. I know. Feels great, doesn't it? I've been hooked to ET for a few months and the worst thing I've ever gotten from someone was "panzer noob." But I had that coming to me because I was spawnkilling those damn nazis in the cabin on the Railgun map with my panzerfaust. I think something's screwed up with JK2. Every other player in JK2 you see won't hesitate to call you a noob, bitch, lamer or ******* if you kill them. I mean every game out there has it's share of loud mouthed trash talking jerks, but in jk2 it's like people are just plain bitter and condescending towards those who just want to play the game they bought. I mean really, do these people even stop to think that the guy who just connected and is running around swinging that saber may just be some kid who got the game that day and is trying to find a game w/ people in it to play? Of course not. we must slap him across he map then call him a lamer bitch then turn him into a raccoon and then suspend him in mid air then choke him then we all group around him kicking his limp body and taunting him with our mighty REBORN/BOSS models and then we can messagemode3 him and call him a fag and a lamer and a noob. And why must we do this? Because that dumb son of a bitch had the NERVE to connect to this server and PLAY. Yeah that bastard tried to PLAY a game he bought. Well now that he’s been turned into a mongoose and banned from the server we can go back to standing around on the roofs in ffa_bespin and meditating on the ways of the force.
