  1. This is going to be great. I think you'll like what this is turning into.

  2. Did you know Maniac Mansion Mania? It's an AGS-based fangame series created by Maniac Mansion fans with the goal of giving new life and extending this historic videogame. The series has an episodic structure so that every author can contribute by adding his story to the universe of Maniac Mansion. Also, there are many resources publicly available for everyone to participate. The project was started by the same group of fans behind Maniac Mansion Deluxe and The New Adventures of Zak Mckracken and now the series has reached its 100th episode, not counting special, mini and extra episodes. Sadly, most of them are only available in german, with less than 20 translated to english. A few years ago, we at Monkey Island World started to translate them to italian. Today however, thanks to one of our newest formum-mates, we are (well, it's just me, but you know what I mean, right?) here to announce the release of the english translation of... Maniac Mansion Mania - Episode 31 Britney's Quest Original title: Britney's Suche Author: Rulaman (Maniac Mansion Mania) English translation: gspit1124 (Monkey island World) Italian translation: Giocherellone, utdefault (Monkey Island World) Betatest: utdefault Languages: German, Italian, English The translated game can be downloaded here. You can find the source code here. Here is the translation thread, for requests, questions and comments. Enjoy! (and don't worry, gspit1124 is a native english speaker, unlike me )

  3. Yes, two of the backgrounds and some of LeChuck's body animations were included in the MI2 SE concept art gallery.

  4. Yeah, it was in the front window of a local shop, hence why the front is so faded

  6. What exactly are those marketing one-sheets? Also I'm curious about the quality of the Steve Purcell MI1 paintings in the Adventurer (issue #1 and especially #2) as the scans available online suffer from severe color shifting on some of them. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1TsQuf-h7Bw/Tmq9Sy_VWlI/AAAAAAAAAVA/8i778huN_zk/s1600/adventurer_02_pg03.JPG

  7. And now for something completely different... here is the picture of my collection. As you can see I am interested in X-Wing/TIE Fighter series.

  8. A pretty bad quality picture (currently on holiday, not able to make a proper one) but all the usual suspects are there. Love the almost perfect quality The Dig box and the Full Throttle one (that was signed by Bill Tiller, which makes it even funnier.. the person that arranged that for me thought he worked on it ;-)) I do have a few additional boxes that aren't on this, like CMI/EMI and the Dott Triangular box, Maniac Mansion Famicom and such that I got many many years back when I really actively collected them. I'll make a proper picture of adventure games once I'm back home.

  9. Great collection! Especially love seeing that MM box. I was thinking about this the other day. I know most of my boxes are gone, but I think my DOTT triangle box might still be in my parents' basement.
