Thanks RedRob and SilverEdge
It's all hard to describe sometimes, it's such a crazy swirling madness going on in my head the last few weeks. I seem to have lost a lot, oddly I wasn't really aware of it anymore. But, it's getting better.
Being at the hospital, has taken away a lot of stress and fears. Getting yourself back is an odd experience. I'm hoping I can go home soon

The fact is I've been trying to update my Stargate mod, on everything
The staff weapon, should become two weapons really: 1 closed version, to be used as a close combat weapon, like it is now. Another version that is open, which is basicly a rifle of somesorts. I think I could animate that, though it might look silly, going open and closing all the time.
Anyway, somehow I get a bit stuck on the masks, they're immensly curvy, I do have good shots and stills of the movie, but I'll need to prepare it better. Starting out of nothing lead to miserable results, well results I think are not worthy of release.

The latest one I got, is named: KauroraEditorRC11. Think it's still avaible in the private group for the 3D Lords, though on what page, I've got no clue
Here's a linky to my MediaFire, I've got it there aswell: CLICKY FOR DOWNLOAD

True, but modding is a passion
Have to wait till friday if I got the job or not... grrr... to long, I want to know NOW.

Uh, no idea... Its from a picture I found on ConceptArt.org.
A large forums where all kinds of crazy artists post their finished works and WIPs.
Some of them do work now and then for game companies; but most of the works are what they do in their free time

Waterfalls are done through animated textures.
In 3D its nothing more then a few bended planes. You can find some waterfall textures in the Dantooine part or if you're doing something for TSL, look for the Dxun textures.
Of course, some emitters might add the finale touch, though I need to look that up. I plan on having a waterfall in my Korriban canyon.

Well I got the 360 as buying a new PC wasn't an option.
Though do get ME its great, though be prepared to kiss your social life good-bye
-
Well I'm nearly done now, say that alot don't I
Thing is I'm now organizing all the parts of the UVW-map to fit in my texture.
There are a lot of parts so its a nice puzzle to figure out :-p
Nearing the end! It'll certainly be for this week. Plus I have a day off from work on friday.
Some extra time to spend on hobbies.

Well me and GM had a try at it awhile ago aswell.
GM noticed there was a sort of second "walkmesh", its stays white and it doesn't need to be compiled to a .wok .
Anyway, I think where at a dead-end as I fear we don't have any TOOL that does it correctly. MDLops doesn't handle this kind of things and MagnusII told me more then once that there are still some fields left in the Mesh properties he doesn't now what they are for. So Kaurora kind of skips these when compiling to Binanry.
So it could very well be we already did the correct steps, but are unable to get it IN.

Well, 3Ds does it a bit differantly. You'll have to copy your alpha channel; paste it into a new file and just save it as a regular JPEG or any other image file type. Just keep it black&white.
Then in Max, go into your Material Palette; look for Opacity (1). Click on the small squarre next to it. Same as for the regular texture, you would put in the Diffuse slot.
From there pick Bitmap. Then browse your HD to where you saved that copy of the alpha channel.
The transparent effect should be apllied instantly. You might get a black border.
That just Max being very annoying accurate.
The Kotor games do a sort of blur effect to avoid that. Here's a very quick example; just a redbox and I used a bl&wh rock texture.

Well, about everything!
Most of them need further texturing, a walkmesh, then the whole setup of the .mod file.
Is about the ruff estimate

Well, I belong to the working class now
Though I still got enough free time to waste away. 3D has been on the low burner, I've taken up my Warhammer hobby again, so I'm painting miniatures like a madman.
Then spend time on the PC playing some games or just check'n LF and stuff.
I would be more into 3D, but Kaurora just refuses to work on my Win 7. Tried to solve it, but no luck... so that's a bit of a downer.
But, méh, hav'n fun nonetheless.

Well, I didn't have an accident. I'm suffering from a depression. Badly infact, as 2 weeks ago, I tried to take my own life... Didn't work out as I planned. Trying to go on like nothing happened just made me crash.
Though that's what happened. Being in the hospital has done me good. Very good even. I've got my more unstable moments; but lets say I'm starting to see the positive in life again.

Well, I stopped the studies. Have been trying for 4 years. And it's just wasn't my cup of tea in the end.
So now I'm just looking for a job, it didn't matter much what, just something to get me started. It's a bit dumb of me, finishing your studies does give you better work. But I've come to terms in my head, that I'll be doing the more "low" work so to speak.
Anyway, as long I get paid, can do my hobbies and such I'll be happy. For me work isn't life. Its a small thing you NEED to do.
-
Well, its best to first create your walkmesh in 1 shape. Then you can indeed devide it a few parts. Where you "hop" from one part to another.
I believe I wrote a tutorial for Dis on this. I'll dig about my HD, must be around somewhere

Well, nothing yet in 3D, was really lazy yesterday
I did find back some fun sketches of hilts. Did those a loooooooooooooonggg time ago.
But it gave me some ideas, so I'll start on it asap
