  1. Murdering innocents, huh? Guess you won't be getting one of these: U.S. troops in Afghanistan could soon be awarded a medal for not doing something, a precedent-setting award that would be given for “courageous restraint” for holding fire to save civilian lives.

  2. Yeah, hated that derelict the first time I played it. Ran out of ammo at a bad time (the last pocket of collectors before you get to the husks). I think that's when I seriously started thinking about looking for a means to mod that game. :D Now I like to do it in God mode and use the nukes....[slips into Oddball* mode]..it makes pretty pictures, scares the hell out of people[/oddball]

  3. I take it you've run ME2 on insanity at least 1 or 2x already? Did you lose anyone just going through the O4 relay? Played most of last game on insanity and lost 3 that way before crashing on Collector ship. Wondered if that was somehow normal for insanity level. Btw, all loyalty missions had been completed prior to the suicide run.

  4. Was running ME2 on insanity for most of last playthrough and noticed that I lost 3 crew just going through the O4 relay (all had completed their loyalty missions). Have you finished an insanity run through yet? I thought I saw that you were getting a little frustrated and took a short break w/another game. Just curious as to whether losing that many that quickly is normal for insanity. Don't worry, Tali survived. ;)

  5. Looks like Cameron pulled it off. Wonder what concessiosn were made.

  6. While you were playing ME2, did you notice any continuity type errors (for lack of a better expression). IE, while I usally hit the "marked as read" button on codex entries, I did notice that the one for the Blue Suns doesn't square w/Zaeed's account of the BS's origins. Didn't know if there were other discrepancies.

  7. Taking it however they can get, eh? Don't knock it. :p

  8. Yeah, but then I figured Coruscant was a very old city by the PT and you've seen how long some of the pyramids have lasted. Didn't give it too much thought on that count. I guess it was one way to bring familiarity to the setting. Yeah, I guess the breathing apparatus and pasty looking skin are a bit of a homage (or ripoff depending on how you feel ) to Vader. I mean, even the dropship that goes crashing through the temple looked somewhat like the ones in the PT.

  9. Like how, for instance (I'm not currently following it)?

  10. Saw that Deceived vid several months back. Looked pretty sweet. Esp that pixelated Mando hotty. :naughty:

  11. So, how're things in the Great White North these days?

  12. Well, the young Rick certainly didn't last very long. My, but you're fickle. :p

  13. So, is the flooding in TN anywhere near you or friends/family?

  14. You're probably right. I don't have a professional need and the Macs are generally more expensive, with PCs being much more user friendly than when I first got a Mac (Mac Plus ~1990 or so). Thanks.

  15. Hmm, may have to consider switching back to Mac. How well, from your experience, does Boot Camp work with games?

  16. Yeah, you were looking at your WIP thread and I noticed you referenced VPC. The G3 was my last Mac before coming over to the "darkside". Had VPC and used it to play Close Combat Russian Front. Very uneven lag. Dearth of games for Macs (and the fact that those games were overpriced by comparison) ultimatley led to my getting a PC back in '04. Well, that and the fact that Macs are much more expensive, while giving you less memory and storage. G3 still works, but is in hibernation. :D

  17. referenced your pic in Endorenna's BD thread. Also, I've used virtual pc in the past as well (used to have a Power Mac G3) and it did lag when playing games, so know what you mean.

  18. Yeah, I think they ran that on MTV or something back in the 90s. Rick was an utter wanker, but Vyvian(sp?) was usually hilarious.

  19. Looking at a clip of Statesman and it dawned on me where I'd seen him before:

  20. That hostage thing was too funny. Don't think they're even ready for the junior varsity squad. Almost looked Keystone Copish there.

  21. Took a look at a short clip....."stupid trollop! I'm not a masochist, I'm a sadist! I paid to whip you!" Somehow I suspected it was going to go there...:p

  22. The NYT had a pretty decent pic of the continuing eruptions on it's front page. No lightning, mind you, but an almost evil (but colorful) look to the eruption. BTW, who's the "proper bastard" in your avi?

  23. Probably not a bad idea. I got it after it dropped from $49.99 to $39.99 (and used close to $30 in BB gift cards). It hasn't been out that long, so I wouldn't expect a new copy of the game to drop too fast. Was thinking of waiting till it at least got to $29.99, but then decided I didn't feel like waiting that long (summer or beyond). 'course you could always look to see if there's a "used" copy out there for less.....

  24. RE ME2, I know what you mean about worth it. I don't generally buy games >$19.99+tax, but picked up ME2 for $39.99. If you liked the first one, you'll probably like this one too.
