  1. Lo, J! You tell me about it, long time indeed! I'm just fine, finished high-school last year and moving forward. How 'bout you?

I was just about thinking on sending you a VM, haha. :D Do you drink? I mean, alcoholic stuff?

  2. You bet it wouldn't mean anything good. But anyone who lurks a little on the interwebz knows that there are games like those aplenty. At least it seems like something worth playing... on the genre. :xp:

If I happen to bump into the torrent (<- forbidden word?) I'll take a look into.

  3. Naw, I actually haven't played it.... yet. Probably wouldn't have even heard about it it wasn't for that Amazon polemic thingy.

    Should I? :xp:

  4. Heh, will do, Mav. I've had the opportunity before but I keep forgetting....

Anyway, as long as no one stole the CAD username, you know how to find me there. :D

  5. It's about earth on the near future (2017 and forward) with many political differences. For one, three powers share the control of Earth: The Holy Empire of Britannia (a clear nod at the colonial british empire, which surprisingly don't count with the british isles, instead, being the whole America, from north to south), China and European Union. Brittania is the most powerful of those powers and boasts a fantastic military. Among their conquests, there's Japan, renamed Area 11 and the japanese now called Elevens. So, one britannian boy, Lelouch Lamperouge, a chess master, finds himself in a middle of an eleven terrorist attack against Brittania and is awarded with a special power called Geass, which basically let him mind control anyone through visual contact. Seeing the opportunity, he allies himself with the terrorists to defeat Brittania and, more especifically, it's Emperor.

  6. As the series progress we learn that there's more about Lelouch that meets the eye. He's looking for revenge against Brittania because they were the ones to blame for his sister's state (she's blind and crippled). In fact, the whole series is surprising.

If you can, give it a try. I doubt you'll regret it. ;)

  7. Morrigan...? *Googles*, oh Darkstalkers! :xp:

Nope, that's C.C, from Code Geass, an awesome anime. I'm not an anime person myself but that one has definetly caught my interest. Just beep if you wanna know more about it. ;)

Oh, and your proposal for SUperman were more than adequate. Just give us the old MK already, hehe.

  8. Haha, no prob. Though Geass was indeed a great surprise, since I'm not atracted at all by animes that focus on giant robots (and Geass feature the so called Knightmare Frames a lot). ;)

So, what are you playing right now? You're back in college, right?

  10. Not a game, Maverick. It's about the Clampo anime Code Geass. Personally, I'm not much into anime, being very picky about the ones I watch, but Geass has completely sucked me in. And I mean it. :xp:

It's about earth on the near future (2010 and forward) with many political differences. For one, three powers share the control of Earth: The Holy Empire of Britannia (a clear nod at the colonial british empire, which surprisingly don't count with the british isles, instead, being the whole America, from north to south), China and European Union.

  11. So you're not dead, uh?

    Don't be a stranger, mate. ;)

  12. Just two days for the "last Shadow". Heh, something tells me this won't be the last. :p

Oh, if you liked ICO you're bound to like SotC too... at least from what I've heard, since I haven't played the first one. But I've played Colossus to exhaustion, andI may say it's a very peculiar and fun game, pretty different to play a game wherein all enemies are bosses. DQVIII is okay. It has been a pretty static franchise since the beggining, if you played one, then you already know what to do on all the others.

If you can, try the .hack series too. There's an old tetralogy which I'm currently playing and a newer series called G.U.. The G.U. is far better, but I'll be playing those games in order to fully appreciate the story.

  13. Ah, bom. O fórum é inglês mas acho que por aqui não há problema. Acho....

  14. PS: I'm 15 days away from a fulll moon and the alleged last shadow appearance. IIRC, the calendar goes as far as February and I'm still on October, hence why I think I've got some more hours of gameplay.

  15. P3F is also the first and only game SMT game I've played so far; a mistake I intend to correct soon. I'd like to buy the previous SMT titles too, I remember when SMT2 was released some years ago, but I didn't paid much attention to it, no one made much ado about it either. Then, suddenly, every media out there were saying how they were anticipating P3F for some reason. After playing a good deal of RPGs on my good old PS2, I decided to give it a try.

And I liked the Social Link thing, actually. They had content, although most of them were about helping other people with their personal issues, those were at least contemporary problems. I just don't like much how the game is based on the Academics, Charm and Courage bars, if they got rid of those, great. :animelol:

I found the game to be addicting, really. I've already bought a P4 copy but haven't touched it yet, and won't, 'till finishing P3 first. :) From what I heard, P3 has an atmosphere way darker than P4.

  16. Uh, I'm liking it, if that's what you're asking. :p

BTW, is there anything keeping us from talking on portuguese? :xp:

  17. It's been amazing so far, really. The combat system allows me to endure the boring, random dungeons. And, of course, it's not all about the combat, the story and how it's told is also pretty good. I don't like the Dating Sims aspects pretty much, though. Spend my evenings drinking Peromone Cafe in order to increase my Charm bar isn't much appealing. :p

Nevertheless, I believe I'm still far from finishing it. i've got 50 hours played, so far, and it seems the FES version adds +30 hours of gameplay. And I'm loving each minute of it.

So, have you played it too? I know you have nomitated P4 as the best PS2 game for this year on the Outlander.

  18. Well, you're welcome. ;)

  19. Well, for me, Dunga was one hell of player on his time. He wasn't a much technical player but he was average at everything else. As a coach... meh, the news here have announced that 2008 is the year that marks the end of Dunga's Era. And I'm all for it.

The match was terrible, Argentina simply did their homework and won incontestably. But to begin with, there were a lot of better players Dunga could have used on the competition, and I'm not even thinking on Kaka or someone else that the clubs wouldn't let go.

I'm confident on 2010 as well, though. On those last years, brazillian football has worked on a previsible basis of defeat->crisis->winning championships right before the WC-> Winning the WC -> losing the WC as favorites. It's a vicious circle.

  20. Then I hope you're right. Still, if you can get some money with predictions as you'd get with bets...

And, my bad, the game's on tuesday.

  21. Your bet on Brazil's game with Argentina tonight? I said I'd place my bet. :xp:

I'm personally counting on a match with quite the number of goals. 3x1 Brazil. The score might be a little biased but, eh, whatever.

  22. Hey there, Shan. What's up?
