I think I'll throw in a tiny apperance by her now and then have her fight CQ during the training arc then have her go after Kaneda and Tategami shortly after the last arc starts.

But I think Velerc could show some parental pride in Belina since she did manage to become the Supreme commander of the republic fleet and she did manage to fight him to a standstill.

Oh yes...that would work nicely. But I think it would be more dramatic if he didn't recognize which one.

And then Belina fills him in on who her mother was.

How about Belina somehow manages to disable his ship and take him prisoner and then tells him the story when he's in the brig?
